Hahahaha. This makes me super-happy.

I love the idea of turning the whole Tomb-Raiding thing on its head and playing as the one being raided.

One of the robbers should have a whip and an Indiana Jones hat!

Aug 29, 2016 @ 1:38pm

Thanks a lot ) Yeah, I was planning to add some references to Indiana Jones, Lara Croft etc. But 48 hours ended too soon )

I killed exactly 200. :P
I really liked this game, but the one thing that bothered me is that the bugs on the bottom didn't do anything.

It's a REALLY fun game! Well developed and Just overall very fun to play. The gameplay is smooth and i really enjoyed it!! ;)

Aug 29, 2016 @ 1:56pm

@CMLSC Thanks! Yeah, I know about that bug with bugs ))) I just completely forgot about them!

Aug 29, 2016 @ 1:57pm

@Gamevoid Thanks you so much! I really glad you had fun, it's the most important thing for me!

Aug 29, 2016 @ 1:59pm

When you hit a bunch with one arrow, super satisfying ;)

Killed 132! I was engadged gave it a second shot! Simple. Fun. Engaging!

The bugs in the bottom a and the are hopeless the robber would have to go right which he doesn't if he comes from left.

Maybe more webs would be nice and faster arrow cooldowns.

The art is simplistic and its better for it!

Aug 29, 2016 @ 2:17pm

@monstersauce Oh yeah, if I had time to add audio it would be even more pleasant! )

Aug 29, 2016 @ 2:19pm

@SamuelSousa It's a bug... with.. bugs ) I forgot about them, so yeah, they are useless. More webs is a good idea. I hadn't got much time to play test it, but you're right, webs are very useful.

Excellent game, very well done!
Nice graphics and animations, they made me miss sound effects even more.
Nice concept, well executed.
Add sound effects and music, some different tomb layouts and sell it.
I'm glad I came to check on your game after you commented on my font taste.
Great minds think alike, I guess. ;P

Aug 29, 2016 @ 2:59pm

@RafaCP Thanks a lot! =)

Aug 29, 2016 @ 3:07pm

This is the funnest game I have played from LD 36 so far! I like how you have added enough traps to have a strategy to it and enough robbers to make it challenging. Great job!

Aug 29, 2016 @ 3:08pm

the game play nice...honestly at the first looking graphics broke me down a little bit but animations got me back :D traps are being reusable wisely , design and gameplay must be set after so much test run. Good job

Aug 29, 2016 @ 3:09pm

I killed 97. I guess that's pretty bad :/

I think it would be amazing if player could choose which traps go where before the level starts :P

Also I'm really sad there was no music/sounds - it would have made the game so much better!

Killed 183.
Nice graphics and great animations! But if there is audio in it, that would be better.
It's fun and overall great! :)

Pretty cool idea! I like how you force the player to focus on so many different places at once... It's quite challenging, and the difficulty scales nicely. Well done!

Aug 29, 2016 @ 3:41pm

Wow, guys! Thank you so much. It's why I love LD - you working your ass off for 48 hours and then receive so much feedback.

I'm glad you liked it. And it's a pleasure to hear that you think it's well balanced =) Because, honestly, I played my game just about 5 times before submitting. And it was about 4-5am =)

I'm very sorry I hadn't got time to add some sounds. You're all right, they would add a lot more depth to the game.

I really liked the idea, and the fact that you could time traps to kill multiple targets. Good job!

Aug 29, 2016 @ 4:06pm

This is great. A little audio would be great, but I always leave that until last as well.

Aug 29, 2016 @ 4:11pm

@Seizar Thanks a lot!

@tenpn Yup, it's better to have game finished than audio without an actual gameplay ) Thank you for playing!

Aug 29, 2016 @ 5:30pm

@facelesstheone that's very normal... I Thought it would only be a couple of hours to get my project online 'till more bugs came up... They have the tendency to pop-up over and over again

Funny game! Cool idea :)!

Aug 29, 2016 @ 7:27pm

Really cool, kept playing over and over. Sound effects would have made it that much better and kinda wished I could see the traps recharge visually. Other than that good job with the art and theme>

Aug 29, 2016 @ 8:25pm

This is the most clever game so far! I think the simplicity of the art style is a plus here; lets you to focus on the different elements. Great game design, good thing you focused on the gameplay. Killing a floor full of robbers with the arrow is glorious. OP arrow is OP

@whatsorceressthis @c4m thank you guys very much!

That was funny! Great idea. That gameplay matches the ancient tech theme definitely. I could imagine this game as a mobile game. Work on an android or iOS version and include sounds. It gets soon very hard, maybe less difficult.

My favourite thing was getting as many robbers as possible with a single arrow :D Kept wishing there was so music and/or sound effects, different traps maybe? Either, fun game to play, thanks!

@BossHunters @galhajaj @Danae123 Thank you all!

That's a lot of looters! At some point you'd think, hey, this place is all looted out, it's so looted yesterday, you know? Why don't we go down the street and rob Zeroinkhammen's tomb instead?

I wish A) there was a timer on all of the traps, and B) there was a drop trap on the last row instead of the bugs. But otherwise I really enjoyed playing. Good game!

Very fun and casual game. I enjoyed smashing all the looters though they won in the end... Nice mechanics and simple gameplay. I like this very much.

Sep 2, 2016 @ 2:08am

Really nice game, difficulty level is just right. If you ever work on this more, add upgrades!

Sep 2, 2016 @ 5:53pm

Truly incredible. This game is so simple, yet so fun to play! It is especially satisfying to wipe out an entire row of enemies in one click. The learning curve was on point. I was also pleasantly surprised that the game did not end when the first enemy touched the sarcophagus. When my first game ended, I immediately wanted to play again.

Overall, this is one of the most fun games I have played at LD36. I just wished you had included music and sound effects!

I think this game would be awesome on mobile phones if you added more levels and challenges. I really liked the graphics. Also I think the spiders in the bottom floor do nothing cause they didnt go for the guy taking the treasure.

There is no need to tutorial, just jump into it and have fun. With more levels that would be great mobile game.

Ok, at begining I thought "stupid game", and then "oh, wait, that's fun", "oh, wait, that's balanced"... "oh yeah! that arrow makes me feel so good" hahaha

Good game, man. It's a kind of tower defense, but easily portable to mobile devices, with easy play.

Some ideas:
*Use different cooldown for each trap
*Drop power-ups/booster, like special one-use traps to put where the player wants
*Create big robbers, harder to kill
*Gain more points at lower levels of pyramid

An interesting take on tower defense. A goal to kill X robbers and new levels could be fun. Some good audio for the trap releasing and deaths (comically squishy blood noises and screams) would really make this game a lot better.

Sep 11, 2016 @ 8:18pm

Fun game! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/ZcipQ8HIrLI

it's a prette good concept, and the overall game is really fun. not too easy and not too difficult (especially at the start)
it's a pity you didn't have time left for some audio. I would have appreciated to have a sort of "alarm" when the robbers get to the mummy as in the beginning I was too occupied by killing robbers at higher levels that I didn't even notice the points descending.

The game def needs some audio! Would improve the game by a whole bunch

Mini Submission FAQ

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Many solo participants enter the Jam.

If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.

CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.

CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
