Interesting, it's pretty brutal when the characters die, maybe make it less difficult?
@BrainyBeard Welcome to the real world. I kid, there's not a huge amount of gameplay to explore, so I thought I'd try and keep runs of it short. I recommend playing round with prioritising certain lives over others to survive for longer
Oli is drinking, Jack is using energy, Will has died. Sounds about right.
Good job though, love the art style, the day night lighting and shadows.
The art style and music is extremely nice. I didn't make it far on any of my runs but it was very enjoyable. One thing though that I would want to be improved is the selection. If you could drag a box to select them or use a hotkey for selection it would be less frustrating. Though a very solid entry that I enjoyed.
Cool atmosphere but main points of improvement would be the mouse interaction with characters which is hit-miss, or the feedback is insufficient. For example when I send them to water, I'm not sure if it worked or not. Character animations could be improved, they slip and slide, again impacting the communication of what happened.
Nice graphics! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36 games specifically highlighting the Plymouth Game Dev community, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/D52bOrYl0Fg
This game is tough ) Cool graphics and animations, but the gameplay part is too difficult to start. I understand you wanted to hide small amount of content behind it, but it just frustrates a lot. Otherwise, pretty challenging )
Fitting graphics and music, control scheme could be improved upon. Gameplay is brutal (a good thing!) Had it had a better control scheme, I'd have loved it!
Interesting game. I died far too quickly though. Great work for only 72 hours!
Had fun. Music and graphics are nice. Reached the 5th day I think but I will keep playing some time. Clikcing the same object didnt repeat though. I think that was needed. I had to switch the guys between tents and stuff. Beside that simple brutal gameplay. Well done!
I love the graphics and music, but for me it was far too hard to control it (maybe I am just bad at it), so I always died really early.
The art is quite nice (I particularly like the logo). Sometimes it's a little bit hard to see the gauges under the characters. As many others have noted, it seems really hard, but that makes sense because if it was too much easier it would get boring.
The day-night cycle is great, I like the way the shadow's change. I am a fan of isometric games, so I liked that too :). I found it quite challenging, but started to improve :). Great Entry, Thanks!
Brutal! Visuals were spot on, love the low poly and the accompanying animations. To improve, I would suggest just making the controls a bit more manage-able, for example by making the dudes easier to select.
Really nice.
Rather difficult but good looking. I wish the characters stayed selected after they perform an action. The bars actually go down so fast. Excellent music, suits the mood very well.
The graphics and sound are really nice but I'm afraid I simply couldn't figure out how to play.
The main problem is that there is no clear indication of when each character is doing something, and I can't tell how to initiate a particular action - all my characters always starved because I couldn't figure out how to get them to eat.
I'm sure if I could figure that out than this game would be a lot more interesting, because it certainly has a solid concept - but I just can't play it properly in its current state. :(
Hmmm!
The graphics are very good and the animation, but I found the game very hard. The UI for rest/food/water were to small and I could not figure out why I was dying.
I would add death messages EX- Max died of thrust!
Also a tutorial would be nice.
BUT you made this in a short amount of time so I would say Its a pretty good game and I just suck at it!!!
I must say that is is a neat little game. It is a little bit hard because you cannot stop time and you have to decide quickly.
I really enjoyed the feeling of the game. I would suggest notifications showing above the person, or at least name because sometimes I wasn't sure if the person does a action or not.
Overall interesting concept. I would like to see it more elaborated.
Beautiful music! The game could use more work, but it is a great start, congrats!
Interesting presentation. With the island, shadows and sound. Also like the dying animation.
I didn't get very far always died at the end of day 1.
Interacting with the game can be a little too difficult since the characthers are a little too small.
Good entry nonetheless
Very nice entry, a very functional simulation. simple and detailed, has nice ways of informing the player and even if a bit dreadful i find it enjoyable and easy to test .(i'm the kind of person that hates to see pickmin die)
Very nice presentation! Almost felt a bit guilty when they died!
(Thanks for playing my game back in your Twitch!)
Wow the graphics are really impressive in this one. But yeah, definitely pretty hard. Made through 3 days though, hooray? :)
Wow nice game, very nice entry. I wish I had a kind of tutorial, it's a little difficult but is a challenge.
I like the style, I think that the concept is interesting :O. The only thing is that it's very hard haha, also an UI would be perfect. Nice work :)
Very nice graphics. I didn't get very far as it's quite difficult... Still a very well made game, congrats!
I like the design and music a lot but as other people have said it's too hard to the point it's not that playable. It's neat though, and looks cool. I like you take on the theme, but it would need tweaks to become more of a game game.
Score: (because I like scores)
Overall 3/5
Innovation 3/5
Fun 2/5
Theme 4/5
Graphics 4/5
Audio 3/5
Humor 2/5
Mood 4/5
The mouse interaction is very clumsy, which is a shame because the core ideas seemed good and the presentation was otherwise fantastic. Couldn't make any ends of the UI and it would have been nice to know what my resource tallies were.

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Many solo participants enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Thanks to anyone who checks this out, the idea was to kinda remove tech, sort of like basic farming being the oldest (I think) technology.I wanted to make it like a diorama and be a simplification of a survival game (And I don't mean not finishing it ;) ). Well I'll try ang upload WebGL, OSX and Linux builds tomorrow, plus reply to comments etc. Hope you enjoy, cheers.
