Absolutely hilarious! Gave me a good laugh. XD Loved the dialogues, characters' expressions, and art style.

The dialogue was perfect, I was engaged the whole time. The flask puzzle was the hardest imo as it wasn't obvious but the game was solid in the end. Good Job

Funny game, I like the graphics.

I got stuck the first time when I covered the beam with the magazine, but I didnt have the laser pointer.

It was super fun, it's a nice "escape" game ! I loved the dialogue, and trying every combination. :)

Do you mean stuck stuck? It's supposed to get back to normal after 5 unfructuous actions. Didn't it work?

Funny conversations, and the magazine inside the drawer haha. Great stuff, would like to see more of this! Keep up the good work.

@Pierrec I think I tried at least 5 things, but I'm not sure, maybe I gave up too early. They kept saying "not now" at everything I tried and I couldnt swap back to the char that was holding the magazine.

5 infructuous actions are supposed to bring everything back to normal; Too bad I can't edit comments to add this in the walkthrough :(

I love adventure games that put me in unsual situations for the genre, and this one was specially good at it. I enjoyed the team effort mechanics a lot haha

I think I fixed the "stuck after using magazine on projector" problem

Haha, what a cute little puzzle! Very funny.

The flask puzzle was the only one that stumped me, probably because Anne-Marie keeps drinking even if you've already interacted with something once, so it didn't occur to me that I had to get her more drunk by using the flask on everything!

That's a good point actually! I might change that. However I don't really know how to justify it. Maybe something like "Nah, I already gave a toast to X"

Great and unusual idea! Some stuff was unclear for me but I guess that's just how it is with point and click games.

Really an awesome game!

Aug 31, 2016 @ 4:50am

love the theme!! there is someone quite like that in my family so i know how this feels XD

music and more sound effects could helps bringing more atmosphere. i'm not quite used to the controls, maybe because there is no difference on the cursor whether we're currently active (and can interact with the environment) or not (currently on conversation). it took me a while to notice that the inventory is on each person too, not shared.

great dialogue! the drinking, tidbits when they are giving items to each other, the conversation, love it!

anyway i'm stuck because i don't have the laser pointer, seriously where is that pocket >.<

You need to use the flask to every character (including Mr Fluffypants) to get Charles's Jacket and get access to the pocket.

Really enjoyed the style and the colors used for the character art. Had to play it when I saw the screenshot.

Thanks for the walkthrough too I got stuck about halfway through (but I’ve always been bad at adventure games). The only real stumpers for me were using the flask on everyone, and interacting with the cat 3 times.

I totally missed the screwdriver because it was so close to Charles but otherwise it was actually fun!

For a moment I thought Mr Fluffypants was going to jump at my face at the end, but close enough.

It's a very interesting setup, never seen a point-n-click game to touch this subject.

Sep 1, 2016 @ 11:45am

Really like the writing and how the situation and the mechanics tightly fit together, like only whispering to the one character next to you or exchanging the objects. Really great, congrats!!! :D

We were talking about making a social awkwardness game the night before ludum, but couldn't see a way to fit it with the theme but this you really succeeded. Much enjoyed the whole scenario and the dialogues. I kept confusing the interactions though, for some reason my brain wanted to left click where the game intended right click and vice versa. Also when I tabbed out of the game to read up where I got stuck the game got all weird in colors and only filled up left half of the screen. Don't know what happened really. Anyhow, interesting story and yay for socially awkward games!

Mini Submission FAQ

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Many solo participants enter the Jam.

If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.

CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.

CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
