Really creepy, really cool, I love the feel. Concept is a masterpiece.
Wow. this game has a lot of unexpected moments within it. Very well thought out. Though the boss on level 9 was so hard, I had to memorize the time between the shots that the robot fired since the projectile was just about too fast to react to. Did not expect level 10 to be what it was (like level 1).
I have no idea what was going on but I really enjoyed it, Good work on making something different with the theme.
Good game it is. The animation is fluid. I think it is better if you add background music and sound effect.
Thanks. :)
This was a very strange and confusing game with a great aesthetic--loved the minimalistic presentation. I enjoyed playing it and you left me wanting more! Always nice to see developers experimenting with new and unique methods of storytelling.
Well the concept is great, but it has an issue with the fact you can mash fire and just turn back and forth until everything's dead. In addition, in the sea of my bullets it can be hard to see enemy projectiles.
Really good game! The level selection was genius and the animations awesome. 10/10
Lots of fun to play with all the twists :)
Funny enough, I started to run left in a level, just to see what happened - died after a while, so I thought I'd explore the other direction (turns out you still move left anyway haha)
Nice work! I'd recommend changing the bullet shooting height just a few pixels, so the enemy ones can be picked apart (or maybe change the size a bit so they can be recognized)
Its amazing to reflect on how exciting this kind of graphics was back on the ZX81! I remember typing in a downhill skiing game from listings in a magazine and getting that same kind of flickering monochrome graphics feel... :)
Oh my, this game is something! So much variativity, levels are small but SO different from each other. You put a lot of effort in this one, great job.
Level 9 is a bit annoying though as you can't predict when robot shoots.
Full of surprises, intriguing theme, just perfect for my short attention span. As for level 9, I just kept jumping non-stop, avoiding all the missiles.
Preeeeetty trippy. Definitely had my attention. Besides the mindscrewing, it's a pretty neat game, simple and fun with lots of twists!
Very good at messing around with our expectations of what the game was, and the core gameplay was fun too
I beat the game... I think... XD
I was completely confused but I still found the level design cool. :P
Really fun game, i liked it being objective based. Mysterious narrative is cool. Simple but effective art!
I loved the animations. Their little heads collapsing down made me laugh. First level with the flashing hurt my brain a little though.
Nice game. I think you should work on lvls i mean lvls shouldn't be too flat, no chalange if you are hitting all time space, left-arow and right-arow. btw. i found glitch on stage 6 i can't back to menu after death here is screen . http://screenshot.sh/n9Kj50xA7JI1e can't do nothing.
I love the animations almost as much as the monochrome aesthetic.
Hi @burnedkirby
You could have just left through the left exit :)
Hi @jakatpemadi
I think I will ... not just yet. Thanks!
Hi @cabbage_
I will see what I can do!
Hi @Ilseroth
Thanks for the feedback I was afraid people would find it hard so I decided to leave it a little on the easy side has I could before the final levels.
HI @Vaiaphraim
Thanks for your input totally agree :)
Hi @Will Edwards
I think I only played one game for the ZX it involved train and a theatre curtain... Not sure what console if was but I believe it was ZX and I never forgot about :) (I took inspiration in the Magnavox! - it had no color only plastic screen overlays)
Hi @facelesstheone
I did die a lot on that one on testing :)
Hi @QwaKlak
There is no glitch! You just didn't follow the sign :)
Well executed. Hard to give some advices as sometimes you dont know if its intended by design or a very weird bug :D
I like how this game messes with your expectations. The killing in the first levels was pretty easy by cheesing the enemies. But I guess that might be part of the game's design. I really enjoyed this game, nice to get something unexpected.
Not sure if I haven't missed some weird hidden secret somewhere :D
Funny! Great animation, good difficulty, requires you to think a bit on a few of the levels. Almost gave up on 6 (?) (the one with three players) but figured it out.
Asthetic is nice
I personally didn't like what you did there...
It's ambitious and all but isn't intruiging enough to do what it wants to.. I don't know to put it bluntly it's like the game thinks it's impressive when it really isn't as it thinks it is.
I didn't play for very long but that's how I feel.
Well...
That was...
Hold me...
Super interesting meta game. Would have loved to hear what crazy sfx/music that could compliment the game!
I really like the art in this game. The interesting story line was nice too.
Great entry! It has a really cool presentation and it's an intriguing experience. I love this type of experimentation and I think you pulled it of.
i loved it! the glitchy aestethic, the simple gameplay :D congrats!!
Really nice game! The narration is super cool :)
The glitched aspect is very well made! And the pixel art is cute!
Really good job!
Really liked the weird aesthetic and store line :) Nicely done for a jam!
After the torture of flickering in the first level, surprisingly enjoyable animation. Very cleverly done!
I had no idea what was going on most of the time, but I enjoyed shooting the robots anyways. I didn't enjoy the strange glitches like the first and last level. They hurt my eyes as I was playing in a dark room :(
@g_o
Pretty much my thoughts, and when you take that away there's not much else to the game, other than it being kinda well-made (no technical issues, other than the lack of audio).
Really neat story! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36 games, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/6fURV7WMVCQ
@Drury
I agree.
It's kinda proof that it's hard to make clever games which are honestly good. The game shouldn't try to be clever it kinda grows out of the sheer beauty of exploring a thought and only later on realizing and making it a "meta" element in a game.
It's not like this is personal, I try to be honest .. I guess a tiny bit pretentious is the words I tried to avoid.
But indeed it was polished which is something I never get right in the compo. So in no doubt this has the potentiall I just personally don't like it.
The technical skills are there.. the soul is kinda missing
not quite sure what was going on in the game, but had some interesting twist, i think it needs music
It starts out a little to easy, but there's a good sense of building a progression that makes it feel like it's leading up to something worthehile. I got up to level 8, but couldn't figure out how to go right on that level.
I love the simplicity of the art reminds me 70's games like space invaders, really lovely work well done.
Well, you should have received the same feedback that my game (http://goo.gl/DY8rKG play here). I like the minimalist aesthetic, the mechanics are very similar to my game. I could have more lives and the first level has tilt, I do not know if it's intentional, but almost gave up for it. Let put fullscreen on this page or on the page itch.io.
Neat game, it was unique and combined many mechanics to create a really fun game. Good job!
Simple, but efficient. I had fun for 3/4 minutes. I liked the b&w aesthetic. However I have no sound. I could be improved with other features ++
i love the concept is not only you playing game but also the game plauing with you, Go > and exit, really good job, and lovely pixel art animation
Too bad it's mute. In this kind of creepy-pasta game distorted sound is a must. Looks good as an experiment with new aestetics though.
Yaiii I beat it!!.... I think.... xp
Concept is neat and the minimalist aesthetic is really nice. I really miss some SFX, but time is short. And I am still a bit confused...
Anyway nice job!
Wow, one of the best games i have seen on any LD, very creative mechanics, a lot of different inovative ideas, nice b/w gfx and animations, add sound and more levels (use the mechanics you have but make longer levels of it, combine the mechanics in some, ...) and you have a great game!!!
You should keep at it, there is a market for these games (vvvvvv and such)
I like that it's so unpredictable. Also the visuals fit the game well. Very nice work!
That was so cool. Loved the art and atmosphere, wish there was sound
Great that you had a playable game! Someone's a Braid fan, eh? ;P
Biggest improvement would be sound. Also, level 8 was really hard!

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Many solo participants enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Really good game! Interesting themes, defying expectations at every turn and difficult as hell. Congratulations on making a fine game. =D
