So the story ... you are a shapeshifter, crash-landed on a planet consumed by the eternal war between Cats, Mice and ... Cucumbers! You, understandably, don't want to stick around on a planet with cucumbers walking (?) around. So you need to collect shards of your technology to escape! But you're injured - a little bit woozy - so your shapeshifting is a bit all over the place! In fact, it's completely random!
The mechanics! So there is a central triangle ... Cat seeks Mouse, Mouse seeks Cucumber, Cucumber seeks Cat. With the added complication that whilst you're in your alien form ... everything seeks you! Also, Cucumber flees from Mouse, Mouse flees from Cat ... and yes ... Cats flee from Cucumbers!
If you are in Cat form, you better watch out for those Cucumbers ... but Mice and other Cats won't hassle you! But ... don't be too bold ... because you could change at any moment .. into any thing!
Click or tap on the screen to have the shapeshifter follow your pointer!
Please, enjoy!
-----
Build using HTML5 ! So it should be playable on OSX | Windows | Linux AND Android | iOS ... however I haven't optimised the same to use the whole screen, so it's a little awkward!

Very solid graphics and animation, well done! The sound really adds a lot to the game, and the humour in the descriptions made me laugh.
I couldn't really figure out how I could shapeshift. Maybe add that to the description above?
Definitely a bizarre entry, but fun as well. The graphics look pretty good and the challenge of going through the area with the rock-paper-scissors mechanic is quite entertaining. Great job!
Interesting game, but I found it quite hard. It's very crowded and unpredictable. Perhaps with more direct (WASD) controls it would be easier?
Fun!! It's a nice idea, and the slight momentum/weight in the player icon following the mouse feels good. If I had a criticism it would be that sometimes (or a lot of the time) the enemies are very close to the player right at the start of the game, so my first few plays I died nearly instantly before I understood what was happening. It would probably be better if the game started with an empty screen, but enemies entered the screen shortly after. Aside from that little issue I enjoyed the game a lot, good job :)
I've never been so embarrassed by a cucumber lol. It's very difficult, but I enjoyed the concept.
Haha! That was fun. The mouse follow felt very good and natural like @spiffl said. I only have one critique which was that when my mouse left the canvas, I couldn't regain control when I moused back over the canvas. I got used to it though. Great job!
Very interesting and fun game! But it is very difficult. My average game lasts 10 sec :)
Cute little game!!! The graphics rocked and the sfx were cool too! Nice Job... (I did die as soon as I shapeshifted... before I even had a chance to move. Maybe make it where you have two seconds after shifting to escape. just a thought! Nice game!
@spiffl, enemies appearing slowly after the game starts is a great idea! I had implemented a radius around the player to prevent enemies spawning too close, but it seems like it wasn't big enough! @TeamScripta I was planning to have the game fullscreen to try to prevent the mouse focus issue, but I ran out of time. Thanks everyone for your kind words and critiques!
I like this a lot; it made me very happy that there was an end to the game. Well done!
I didn't survive long maybe around 20 seconds, but that dramatic sound when I ve got killed by cucumber is priceless :D
Ha ha, I like WTF games, and this one is simple, and works well. Good job ! :)
Great, it works on Linux! Sometimes the player refused to go to the shard. Interesting idea, not sure the mechanic works, as the enemies are quite random and the best strategy seems to just avoid everything.

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
LOL so silly! It took me a while to understand the mechanics. Made me laugh :) Cheers!
