thanks snoodleking! I updated the description to make the combos a little more clear - they're actually pretty easy to do but a bit cryptic without explanation
Great job! Simple and easy to play. Great game mechanic and never a feeling of being "cheated." A little to fast for a trackpad- but I think that's my problem.
Really addictive and absolutely beautiful graphics! Once the difficulty spiked and it became like a bullet hell it really grabbed me and I was trying over and over again to make mad blink combos. Excellent stuff!
Really cool! The difficulty is well balanced but the combometer goes down really quickly, I have not made more than 3 ^^'
Good job!
Great execution of a simple idea. I'm impressed by the minimalism and polish. Feels great with gamepad.
The sound is quite nice to blink on the tempo, making the control almost useless, nice work on effect and graphics, great job !
Great execution of a simple idea. I'm impressed by the minimalism and polish. Feels great with gamepad.
Obsessed with that godly light particle effect... the chroma abberation and screenshake is well done too (not overdone)
Amazing game! It was extremely fun to play and I loved the artstyle. Great job!
Graphically well executed, really nice mood, fits the theme, bullseye hits my musical sweetspot. Shame the gameplay wasn't a bit more challenging and that you cannot properly hit "multikills".. Good submit nevertheless!
Cool game! The aesthetic is amazing, the art is really good. Congratulations
Huh, it gets hard really fast! But in a good way! Love the controls, graphics, sounds! Nothing to complain, everything to love! Thanks for making this!
Awesome music and graphics, although I wasn't sure if it was an effect or if I was getting weird screen tearing or something! I also couldn't really figure out how to get or keep a combo going...help
Very fitting sounds and visuals to the gameplay, really polished! One thing that made things difficult for me was that the player didn't stay in the middle of the camera when moving, making the aim shift, even thought the effect looked nice :)
I found the gameplay a bit boring, but the music and aesthetic were great!
Well done, that was great! I feel the time to get a combo could last a little longer, especially earlier in the combo, but otherwise a really interesting entry!
Thanks for all your comments on the music and art! This is actually my first game doing art for, and though I've made music for a very long time, this is also my first game creating music for.
Very cool game!
The feel of the effects and esthetics are very well done! The game feels great. I only wish i could have seen more of the theme in the game.
gj!
Great game! Visuals feel very polished and clear, and so do the game controls, really responsive on a gamepad. You did an awesome job on the music side as well, it helps a lot with getting in the zone.
Like @snoodleking, I also had trouble figuring out the combos but I hadn't read the instructions, so shame on me in this case.
Awesome job!
Super fun game! Very simple, great use of the theme..! Controls are very good too! Nice work!
Immediately the game gets me pumped up with the music and polished appearance. Once I start playing I am amazed by the particle effects. The art is great but the particles just make the game amazing, especially the when playing in the white form; the color and triangles. It's just so pretty. And the game plays really well and feels nice. It's fast paced, challenging, but still gives you breathing space. It's well balanced in difficulty, a good combo of tactics and skillful reaction. I really enjoyed the game!
This game turned out to be amazing! I love the snappiness of the character movement and the fast speed of gameplay. The music is awesome too. I'm laughing at all the people that say this is 'minimalistic' because when I make the character blink, I see TONS of juicy particles and flashes and screenshake and chromatic aberration. There is so much below the surface, ha! Awesome game, super polished.
Nice game! Very simple basic gameplay, but nice visual style, good sound and good feedback to user (effects and particles).
May I ask how you made the effect that occurs when taking damage?
My god, great entry!! Good job with screenshake and juice, the game feels pretty polished and it's adictive. The only thing a I miss are sound effects for the blink, points, death, etc... Awesome work!
I love graphics and the general idea of your game ! Great job !
Awesome style, simple and very fun. The combo mechanic was really difficult for me though.
This was a very solid entry. The mechanic was really simple, but polished rather well. The graphics were minimalistic but I enjoyed them a lot. The soundtrack was suitably hyping me up so good job on that front! The gameplay was also fun, although I sucked really bad lol. I would have liked some sort of sound effects for a bit more punch and also the controller buttons you had on the level ground were not accurate for me(used A instead of X, RB instead of RT) Overall though - a great entry!
@pirate_shell - sorry about the controls! I made them using a ps3 controller so there's probably some discrepancies
Good job ! Visual effects are really cool !
I think that maybe if you stacked blink orders instead of waiting for the current blink to stop, the game would feel smoother, combos could be easier to make, and with your particle effects, you could create pretty chains of blinks.
ChatPion - I thought about that, but I like the timing too much. I think the game needs a stronger indicator than the ring - as long as the ring is out, you can chain blinks and maintain your combo.
I hope to see this game in smartphones. It's a funny games =)
Graphically is great, the controls are spot on and the music is nice. I'd have preferred maybe a faster start but it's fun nonetheless. Great entry!
Great particles and very juicy game! Also great music, but I would have loved sound effects to make the mood perfect... Other wise more gameplay would have been nice, but cool game!
Controller support... WHAT!!!! This game rocks man! I'm watching you on stream right now and just had to play it!! Excellent job!
Sound effects would be nice and the music is a bit repetitive but my god that ramps up quickly! By jove I love the colourful trail behind you when you're white and the little dying animations of some enemies! Although I have *no idea* of how to survive when the game goes full bullet hell on me D:
The graphics were really good and gameplay as well! Nice entry
Cool game! I really like the music and the pace of the action was great.
Nice graphics, especially the particle effects, which are lovely. Music is very intense and fitting, and the controls felt pretty good. Maybe a bit unresponsive when clicking very fast, but that's a pretty minor problem. The difficulty was a bit weird, since the game felt very slow and easy at the beginning, until almost out of nowhere there started to spawn quite a few enemies. Maybe shortening the "easy beginning" time would be better?
Overall, very enjoyable. Good work!
Pretty fun and nice meeting you at Indiecade East! Liked dashing around, it feels pretty good! The chromatic aberration feels a tiny bit much since you dash around a lot, but I got used to it. Again, since I want to keep dashing maybe (as my friend suggested) having two dashes of each and taking out the button switch. Another thing could be to switch colors anytime (and then have possibly more than two colors), but maybe that would get complicated quickly. Could be cool to see more progression with enemies.
Good job!
It's barely shape shifting but MAN it's fun and controls awesome. The graphics are splendid, my only complain would be the lack of sounds; the music is good but if you added sounds to the attacks/hits the game would feel even better.
Anyway, amazing work. Fantastic effects/feedbacks and art. Grats!
Really really really REALLY cool game! I've played with key/mouse and gamepad, and both feel really nice (although gamepad is WAY better). I really love the graphics, effects, particles, super awesome job on all of that. The drum and bass is also really on point! modern sleekness and old-school reese (reece? was this ever settled within the dnb community??) bass...I luh it <3
Hi, nice game and congratulations ! We're realizing a video with several winners of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Love the aesthetic and the blink mechanic! That screen effect - so sweet! Combos were a little unclear to me, but maybe I just need to spend some more time with it. Overall great job!
