(NOTE: I do not endorse Donald Trump. This is a parody)
Donald Trump is a political shapeshifter, radically changing how he acts and what he stands for in order to win each stage of the U.S. Presidential Election. He began as an outrageous TV personality, has now moved to a slightly more subdued Republican frontrunner. Some suspect that if he receives the nomination, will move to a more presidential-sounding moderate candidate in order to win.
Play as Donald and make OUTRAGEOUS, CONSERVATIVE, or PRESIDENTIAL comments, depending on the stage.
A fun game? Or a terrifying reality? You decide!
FEATURES:
* Over 50 REAL quotes made by Donald Trump (yes, they are all real)
* An 8-bit version of his voice
* 3 exciting levels, each with different speech strategies
* Where else will you find Donald Trump pixel art?
Enjoy!

Hah! Wondered how long it would take to see my first Trump game... well done! :)
Very unique game. I'ts got something to say, and it's very well presented as well. Loved both pixel art and 8bit voice!
We had similar ideas! Yours turned out much better, though. I really liked the 8-bit voice.
Today I learned how to be a NIMBLE NAVIGATOR.
Clever and relevant. Good job.
I knew that a Donald Trump game was coming... this was fun! :)
Excellent. I really love the compressed Trump audio clips and your pixel art rendition of the man himself is just perfect. Great choice of quotes as well.
Shame it didn't end with him flatout Shapeshifting into a tentacle abomination and laying waste to the world, but still great!
Overall, I liked the parody. Loved both pixel art and 8bit voice. Well done ++
Hahaha! That was awesome. :-) -- I really liked the garbled speech. -- You should do Hillary next! XD
I always enjoy a nice satirical game :) Nide work, and a unique take on the theme!
I can't believe there are only two Trump parodies in the whole jam (and the other one is about reptilians...)
Great presentation, great message (political elections are most certainly a game). Using real quotes is the masterstroke here.
My only qualm is the old-school Unity web player, which many browsers don't support anymore. You should look into the HTML5 WebGL build option.
Nice stuff. Taking the theme and making a statement haha. I like the Zelda II "game over return of ganon" esque trump on the interim slides.
Great entry! You used a clever take on the theme and the retro visuals are really well made (I found your game from your tutorial on adapting photos to pixel-art, thanks for that!). Oh, and nice music, too!
@nickavv Good eye! Yep, it's the RETURN OF GANON screen was 100% the inspiration. I basically copied it.
@Ithildin You bet! I'll have to do a music tutorial post tomorrow
Nice polished package - the gameplay here is a little slight, but it all works really well, and the sound and graphics are great.
Great job man! Your post on the pixel art led me here. Really nice job, and I might use your technique someday :D
Haha nice! A very accurate representation I must say.
Scary but true!! Nice work on this interpretation of shapeshifting. Well done. Believe me. And I'll make Mexico pay for it. (I know the quotes well! I made a Trump combover monster game a few Ludum Dares ago, back when we was just one of 16 Republican candidates: http://ludumdare.com/compo/2015/09/13/the-donald-wants-you-to-be-a-winner/)
Funny, the humor part of the game was pretty good. If that was your main goal, then this game is a complete success.
Gameplay is unfortunately a bit boring (too easy?) if you take out the humor from it. I think it would've been better if we had limited number of choices so we really needed to read the messages and pick the appropriate (sic!) one.
Overall a decent entry, good job!
I can't play web version in any browser(firefox and IE), neither the windows version...
I love how well this fits with the theme. The quotes from Trump about changing really nails it.
It's different for sure :D And what makes it scary is that these are all real quotes from him :P
Nice work
I'm very happy to see a game that deals with political issues. It's a pity that there are not many more, because I think it's an excellent viewpoint of the theme. The parody mood makes it more enjoyable, and not less meaningful. In my opinion this is a very good way to let people understand how dangerous Trump actually is. Well done!
Sometimes I was able to use the same line in a row and score points, but great game! Overall solid entry!
Wow, very cool and interesting concept and surprisingly fun! I feel like this is really perfect for Ludum Dare—just enough gameplay and polish! Thanks!
So as the token Trump game of LD, this was quite good. The graphics were simple, but did the trick and the voice was a nice touch, too. The gameplay was more compelling than I figured, as sometimes a statement didn't immediately form into my mind as something that I'd necessarily call conservative, controvercial or presidential. The thing is though, the joke behind it felt very tired to me. Yes, Trump says awful things and is a bad politician, I think anyone with more than two functional brain cells can figure that much. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that unlike some of the commenters here, I didn't see it as particularly profound or "making as statement" as much as I saw it as a fun game to play.

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
I honestly had this exact same thought when brainstorming! I'm glad that your game came out so well. I liked the styling of the game and the donald trump pixel art was beautiful. Great interpretation of the theme.
