Really high quality modeling and texturing to see for a competition game. It's great to see the seeds of where the game is headed with the larger enemies coming out. Just a few camera/control issues to work out.

Maybe try a Pikmin style more overhead view, so the player can always see the swarms and be oriented to where things are in the air.

Art is amazing. Audio is good too.
Gameplay is nice, it is a funny mechanic, and the physics work good. Though maybe it could be worked a bit if you are going to develop it further (for a Ludum Dare is ok). Maybe seeing mushrooms when they are in air, or playing with how high you jump before smashing.
Really good work, very polished!

Enjoyed so much!

So pity that Slam is bound to Shift key which is interrupting game with damn "Enable sticky keys?" dialog

I didn't quite get the connection to the LD35 theme, I guess the mushrooms that change...
Except from that, the game was really fun :)
The controls might need some adjustments, maybe make the frog run faster.
The graphics and music are awesome.
Great job!

Got 217 kills!

Really nice graphics and gameplay on this one! The only problem I Have with it though, is that the controls are a bit too floaty for my taste. Otherwise, great game!

The game looks weirdly cool. It doesn't feel responsive, though. I would make the movement faster and more arcade-like and add more smashiness overall.

Awesome graphics. I love the little bits of detail that went into this game. I found the controls to be crisp and responsive and the gameplay to be very entertaining. I really enjoyed watching that multiplier skyrocket when I was having a good run. Amazing job!

Apr 21, 2016 @ 1:51am

WOW! Those graphics! I don't know much about working in 3D, but I didn't know you could DO something like that in only three days! Good job with the sounds and music too. This is practically a professional game already. O_O

It's a bit on the easy side, though. It gets especially boring when you're pretty much at the end of a wave, just trying to mop the last enemies up, and somewhere in Wave 3 I was like, "Eh, I'm not waiting for this to pick up anymore," and died trying to smash some big mushrooms.

I think the easiest way to fix that problem would be to make the field smaller. With a smaller field you'd run into patches of mushrooms you didn't expect more often, and you'd have to make use of the terrain for evasion a lot more.

I'd also fix it so that the damage from poison and the damage from being attacked do different things. Like maybe poison damage makes your health-bar smaller for a while, where getting punched and kicked actually reduces the health in your health-bar. And maybe make it so you *can* smash the big mushrooms, since you won't be able to avoid them with a smaller field, and you get some benefit for it like a bonus multiplier for a while. That way you're incentivized to risk jumping into a crowd of enemies just to smash a big one, send the others flying up, and leap out eating the others. Seems like a fun idea.

Seriously though: it's hard to believe you did those models and textures in the tiny amount of time we have. It's an inspiration. I'm amazed.

Very nice graphics. Eating those mushrooms, stomping on them, the detailed highscore, all of it makes a very well tied and nice piece which is also quite enjoyable.

Sorry. Can't download your game. It shows that it will take around 10 hours. Download speed is about 10 KB/s when my ISP speed is 100 Mb/s. (I'm located in Russia)

Very well done.

Some control and camera issues I'm sure you would hammer out if you took it further. I did feel like it was very hard to avoid taking damage when trying to eat falling enemies.

Funny game mechanics, if perhaps a bit boring. Great modeling and use of depth of fields and other specials effects; vivid colors too. Sounds and music helped to get in the mood too.

Graphics are fantastic and it was quite fun to play. It was a bit on the easy side though, in the end I let myself die to see what would happen :P Overall a great entry though, congrats!

Mini Submission FAQ

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.

If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.

CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.

CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
