= About DragonScriber =
In this game, you are a dragon guarding princess in a tower. You're pretty good at it, since you simply have to roar the name of the knight in order to kill him. Using your keyboard to type their names, try to keep the princess save (well, save...) as long as possible and try to get your hoard of knightly lootings as big as possible!

Hi, when trying to run your game I received this error:
There should be 'DragonScriber_Data'
folder next to the executable
I'm not sure if this is just a problem for me or what but yeah any help would be appreciated
@Shugor: Thanks for notifying me! If you redownload the game, it shouldn't give that error anymore.
Finally a game I'm good at! Great art, music and gameplay. Initially I thought that if the knights were to reach the tower, the game would end, but they still have to carry the princess back. Awesome idea, congratulations Thomas!!
Very solid, lovely graphics and music! I like how you can sometimes try to guess the name before you can see it fully.
One nitpick is that when names overlap, they are hard to read.
Really fun typing game! Very well made.
+ I liked your art style a lot. Very simple yet very cohesive and beautiful
+ Difficulty is good. Gets challenging fast but manageable.
+ Fun, wanted to play again several times!
- More roar power! (I just think the slay knight sound effect could be more powerful)
Congratulations!
Nice! I always look out for the typing games, this is one of my favorites this time around. I like how the ones with the more fancy names became a natural part of the difficulty curve. One thing I found somewhat annoying towards the end was when persons will really long names came from the left of the screen. Impossible to see them before they almost reached the princess. Cleaver of them!
Thanks that fixed it. Really fun game! I always enjoy typing games like this. Really got tough once they got the princess down off of the castle. Good job!
This is really well done, congrats! I had a lot of fun playing this one, simple to jump in and play but gets really challenging, the perfect combo! Nice work!
I like the way the waves get harder and that movement speed is based on typing difficulty. Very completed and fun game.
This is a very good example how choosing a simple and solid idea can make a game very good!
Very nicely done and polished.
Got to 125k points and stopped playing then, perhaps it is a bit too easy? ;-)
Great job, the art style is nice and typing works flawlessly.
this was a very interesting take on the theme. I had quite a bit of fun! graphics are cool and also sound. I wished there was a bit more to gameplay because it gets tiring after a while. The beginning of each next subsequent wave is harder, but after the first crowd, it goes back to a slow paced game.
It was also a very forgiving type game, we could make mistakes, no upper/lower case distinction, no spacebar. Maybe instead of adding more words, you could make them harder by adding limitations like this.
Great job nonetheless. Had fun!
This is great! Love the art and the mechanic of typing those names.
EPIC. NAME. LIST. Wow. Skews European, but has incredible variety. Long names coming from the sides can be make you want to hurry the dudes up. It's like "Archbish--OH GET ON WITH IT ALREADY." I like how the shorter the name, the faster the knight.
I got to wave 12 before I decided I was done and let the knights have the castle. 130,744. http://imgur.com/0foCb2i
Levels 3 and 5 seemed to ambush me with a ton of dudes right at the start. Almost got overwhelmed at the beginning of those waves. The rest were fine. Not sure what happened there.

That was fun. Nico and Toby were delicious. We made a dragon defense game too.
Damn! I got 51601 point!
Cool art style and sound effects!
I've had a lot of fun with this game, fun 5/5 =)
Another typing game! :D I had a lot of fun playing this, "Don't you dare to steal my princess, Magister Holger!". :) I like how the speed of the knights depends on the length of their name. Well done!
Simple concept, but really addictive and well done.
Also, I liked the art style.
Good job!
That was great! Really enjoyed the complexity of the knights' names in the later waves.
Man! Awesome game! I really love typing games for some reason. Can't believe they removed it from Crimsonland for the new steam version.
Only critique is the slow difficulty curve. Probably played for 30mins on my first try, should get harder a bit faster.
Also, online highscore is a must for a game like this! That would make me save this and come back year after year to stay in the top 10!
147.637. Wave 14.
I'm terrible at typing games, haha... but yours had a great feel and great graphics. Good job!

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Great idea!
loved the game, art and music are nicely done.
overall, very well done :D
