Kitten Killer is a game where you have to kill kittens before the time runs out.
There is a handy tutorial in game to get to grips, then you have 60 seconds!
Watch out though, it's messy business.
Update:
There is a bug with the score being displayed at the end screen, this is a bug that I thought I fixed before submitting. The score is still saved, and will update the highscore if it is higher.

Sweat and simple. Well, simple anyway :D
Tutorial works great. +1 for web play too.
Something to reduce effectiveness of just spamming might be nice.
nice work could use with some kind of risk or something to give it a bit more depth to encourage you to try a few times.
Masterpiece ahahah :D
The last screen places my score on the highscore and leaves the "You killed x Kittens" at 0, though.
I really enjoyed this one! :D
no kitten nooooo.... mouahahahahaahaha!! dead kittent dead
i like the game ^^
Well, I definitely felt like a monster.
Simple and fun, good job!
Lovely graphics and well made tutorial! But, I can't play a such cruel game :(
I really like the tutorial. Generally don't see such great ones for 48 hr games.
Funny game, although the gameplay lacks any challenge or danger. The graphics are minimalistic, but decent. Overall a decent entry.
I like cats, yet I enjoyed playing this! Very polished and intuitive!
I didn't kill any kittens, but I was still a monster ;(
Lovely art, and the way the game blended into the rest of the webpage was nicely done
You, sir, are the monster.
Clouds interact with screen scrolling in a fun way though :D
Had my cat-loving sister dying to play it, enjoyed it thoroughly. Art style is charming.
Is not functioning here. The game starts but after three commands it stops working.
Yep, that's a pretty good solution to the theme! Fun game too.
Played this game while my cat scratches on the kitchen door. Time to get a point...
Just kidding, nice game. I was a bit confused when I was kicked out of the tutorial and thrown into the menu screen.
Gameplay support and an online scoreboard would make this game more awesome.
Haaaaa, I saw your progress on the IRC chan and i can finally play the final version of your game ;)
It lacks some challenge but it is still fun, just for the pleasure of killing innocent cats :D
Now I really do feel like a monster D:
Nice game! A bit simplistic though, you can just mash Space all the time. Maybe if you could pick different weapons it could give the gameplay more depth. Still, good job!
My best score was 59 :)
I'm a horrible person for liking this game... I enjoyed the game, and I thought it was a funny interpretation of the theme. The only think I didn't like, was the bullets collision in sorta small, its hard to shoot the kittens, and the blood follow on the screen, it doesn't stay with the kittens dead bodies before it disappears.
My record is 46 kittens in 1 minute.
Okay what was it that I just did.. I am a monster :D great weird game
I wish there were more too it. it ended up feeling like a button masher. The blood splatter didn't scroll correctly and at the end, it said I killed 0 cats (but it did record my high score). High marks in themes.... you monster.
The graphics are great, although it took a little while to get used to the bullets being fires from the character's neck.
You Monster! I included it in my Ludum Dare 33 Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/mQTSmMf-zUY

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Well this theMeatly comic describes my feelings best :D https://static1.squarespace.com/static/53b20345e4b02529e48af929/t/53c7d7a1e4b004b8a00c0d3a/1405605794390/?format=750w
apart from that nice graphics, also cool that you implemented an in-game tutorial
