The puzzles are so cool and challenging over time, nice job!

I think you did a pretty good job with this game. Right now my computer is slow so I couldn't beat some of the puzzle which required quick timings but overall it was a really nice game. 4/5

This was a well-designed little puzzler! I like how well-defined the mechanics were, though the stuff that had to be done quickly was a bit difficult because the movement seemed a little iffy (I think I had to be a at a full stop before the game would accept input to go to the next tile). But with a little trial and error I was able to push through.

I liked the story, though it fell a little flat in the end. The revelation was kind of like, "meh". But it was still a great use of the theme.

I like the stylized graphics, if not for the "monster" and "hero" being a bit out of place with the style of the rest of the world.

Well done!

12 hours? That's some incredible work for that short amount of time.

I have exactly one gripe, and that's the stick figure "hero." A minor presentational issue in an otherwise stellar puzzler. Amazing work on the levels!

This game is an awesome puzzle game. And then you play as the enemy with a very good and well thought of dialog...

Really well done. To bad there is no sound.

Enjoyable puzzle game, although it hardly had any fresh ideas, although the game has a good amount of content considering that it was made in 12 hours.

Aug 25, 2015 @ 5:46pm

Would be better with sound, also the puzzles are HARD

Some genuinely clever puzzles and a nice learning curve. A few more art and sound assets would have helped, but a great show for 12 hours of work!

I loved the mechanics! I'd rate you highly for Fun and Innovation, but you seem to have disabled them - they're what your game is best at! The graphics are mostly quite nice for the environments, I'm impressed that you got all this done in just 12 hours! Keep it up!

This is an awesome puzzle game. I really enjoyed it. Very clean controls and clear goals. (rhyme!) The dialog really pushes everything along. Well done!

fun little puzzle game with a narrative, would really benefit from some sound but very nice effort for 12 hours work

The puzzles are fantastic, and the graphic style works apart from the monster and hero. Story could have been a little better.

Great little puzzle game. At first I was worried the difficulty wouldn't pick up, but it came through. Loosely related to the theme, but great puzzle design.

A nice little puzzle game! The mechanics are intuitive and fun, and the dialogue really made it more fun! I like it

There is no real reason given as to why the slime need to walk through the dungeon, usually the hero does that. The movement lag doesn't really fit. The puzzles can use some work resorting to timing puzzles should not be this frequent. Over all a nice game for the time spent on it.

Nice level design; the time challenges near the end are an interesting variation. Like others, I think the hero sprite is a bit too simplistic and could benefit from a minor redesign.

Your game is so funny and the jokes even carry some truth.
The puzzels are fun, and make use of simple mechanics verry well.
Great game :)

I wish I could have rated Fun and Innovation! Nice job on this game, I always enjoy a good puzzle game, and in 12 hours... very impressive. My only criticism would be that it's often hard to move on the conveyor belts, I had to learn to hold the key I wanted to use down, and as soon as it could trigger it would. That's a polish thing that I'm sure you would have noticed given more time. Again, good job!

Loved the monster's commentary! Good entry! I included it in part 15 of my Ludum Dare 33 Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/De5lc4U-4hg

Mini Submission FAQ

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.

If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.

CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.

CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
