Disclaimer: This is not a horror game, but some people may find the game startling at some points, though it is kept minimal. There are no loud noises and no scary imagery beyond the kind shown in the screenshots above, but there are sudden flashing lights, and blood. Fair warning.
This is a game about a kid who has a nightmare. There's not much else to say! Play for yourself to learn the rest! I do have my own "theory" as to the game's plot/lore, so see if you can piece together what's going on!

Outstanding job building the atmosphere! Interesting game, I feel bad for playing it while half out of it from lack of sleep. Great job!
Wow, that was great! Great mood, very fitting graphics and execution, lovely design and good sound & music . And, of course, the story told through gameplay. Reminded me a little of "Home". I got a little frightened (which speaks for the atmosphere). Really enjoyed this. incredible work for 48 hrs -- kudos, my friend!
A little buggy at some walls, but otherwise a great atmospheric piece.
Amazing work. It's so atmospheric owing to the excellent audio and graphics. Very impressed with how polished it is. A great take on the theme.
Beautiful! I loved the graphics, and the music! The story was intense, too, and the difficulty felt just right.
The one thing I'm most curious about is who wrote the note telling you about the key and medicine.
It was very scary for me (but also very good). Nicely done :D
Wow, looks really cool, love this filter, and comfortable control!
This game has a spooky atmosphere, and that's a good thing! I love the simple pixel art, it fits the game perfectly.
I thought the game was loaded and clicked in the image *facepalm*
The soundtrack reminded me of Chrono Trigger and that's amazing. Really solid entry. Great graphics, great mood.
I was waiting to see how you'd turn the little boy into a monster and I was not disappointed. Intriguing!
Hi,
what I liked :
- Amazing atmosphere (graphics + sound + effects)
- Pretty graphics
- slow revealing of story with large place for interpretation
- polished with a proper ending
What imo could be improved :
- some actual enigma, even simple (it's more exploration and tries than thinking there)
- Wall glitches
- text popping sound end to be annoying
Almost perfect entry, awsome work here !
Thanks for the game =)
Holly shit! I was quite afraid when the kid started having visions. Really well done game, loved the inmersion! And the paintings on the walls were astonishing, as well as the music.
I felt like the plot was a bit forced in the end, but i loved it a lot until you found the monster!
Wow, awesome presentation! I love it. There was some intense parts!
This is a cute game, but I'm very bad at this "poke around randomly until you find the thing" types of games. I couldn't even find the key!
Very nice atmosphere and definitely had a creep factor to it, great job.
This has great aesthetics and mood! Continue making things like this.
That was intense. Very reminiscent of the original Silent Hill games, or Corpse Party. Atmospheric and, frankly, terrifying. XD
Wow, great job creating a really creepy mood, that was well done. The graphics, the pace, and the sound really came together, and the escalation of tension left me feeling uneasy in a good way. Nice job!
This game manages to create a really creepy atmosphere with pixely 2D graphics, and I love it. The sounds and the visuals are all very good at immersing you into this little child's mind on a dark night. The ending was creepy, but also sad. I enjoyed it very much, Nice job!
Excellent chilling atmosphere and great story. Needs more explorations and interactions. But otherwise outstanding.
Great mood, the game looks great. It sort of creeped me out a little bit. The atmosphere was great.
Great job setting the mood. I'm not sure what happened. But I definitely liked it!
Great game with an eerie atmosphere with complimentary visuals and audio to reinforce it. Great work! :D
The atmosphere was perfect and the filter was fitting
Great job.
Wow. That was really, really impressively creepy. Fantastic work.
Really atmospheric game and the story worked well even though the theme kind of spoiled the ending. Well done!
Audio and story are quite polished. This is a good game. The atmosphere is just wow. Good job!
WOW! Usually not a fan of these walk-around-collect-item-read-story kind of games, but this one was especially atmospheric.
Very nice game ;) would like to see what you can do with a long version :)
Wow. I'm not sleeping tonight.
Very good though. Thank you for not putting a screamer at the end. ;)
very intriguing story and excellent atmosphere. I really liked this game!
Exceptional entry! Very nice environment and different experiences. Quite scary as well. :)
Liked the moment when blood started appearing(great mood) but overall I dont get the plot.
I like the mood of this game. In the end I couldn't find the key, but just walking around was nice.

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Really enjoyed this. Quite polished, the aesthetics reminded me of the Deep Sleep series. Well done.
