You are a monster, and you are surrounded! Four magician warriors are trying to finish you. Will you be able to survive until they run out of stamina? Time to move!

WARNING
This game is super-hard! Some hints:
- The pattern is always the same! Try to remember the hard places to survive longer. Even if you die, the warriors will keep shooting, so you can check what is coming later.
- The hitbox of the monster is relatively small. You can wait until the very last moment before dodging (close-call!)
- The full pattern is "only" 30 seconds. What happen at the end?

KNOWN BUG
- If you get killed by the very last magic, you will get a You Win an a Game Over at the same time :(

Love the monster poses, and the game feels pretty good once you get the hang of it. The only problem is that it's too difficult to play, even after a while of practice. It's probably different for you because you played for like, 2 days straight. Nice game tho!
Thanks for all the comments! Really happy you liked it!
The game is purposely super-difficult :). But I would have liked to do it better, of course!
For example, the structure is too simple because my lack of experience with Pico-8 (my original idea was to put more magics per warrior and less speed). Also, I didn't have enough time to polish the pattern properly (steep start, weak middle).
Still, the pattern is always the same, so with enough time and practice is doable. I hope it can be rewarding for people with enough patience/time :)
Game is nails! Addictive though...I fear my record is not very impressive: 7.8 seconds...
tough game, I like the homage to old RPGs. I think it's a little too tough right off the bat. Comes off more stressful than fun. Perhaps start off a bit slower and work up to a high speed around the middle of the game.
Jeez... I don't have the patience for this kind of game haha. That being said, nice work with it. I love the pico-8 games :)
Simple, very hard, but addicting. Cute graphics, I love pico-8 games. Displaying the stamina was a very good choice. It kept me coming back because I knew there was a defined goal. I found it interesting that playing with sound on made it much easier for me to recognize the patterns. After maybe 70 tries, I finally memorized enough of the patterns, and it was dance time.
Wouh, this one is really hard! The retro style is absolutely lovely. Felt warped back in time! Good job!
I really like your sprite work & animation! Challenging game, I love that you made it in Pico-8!
I love the way the audio comes together for this. I think if I get the right rhythm going I can last longer than 12 seconds.
This is fun, but hard! At least the pattern repeats, so that makes it possible. I love the retro LCD game feel!
Hard but challanging! I couldn't make it to the end but loved the concept!
Thanks for all the comments guys! Even somebody reach to the end, that was unexpected (and makes me really happy!)
I made a video showing the full pattern. If you are interested in checking my strategy to reach the end, here is it:

It's a pretty tough game. It takes a lot of trial and error to beat it. Making it easier, but with random patters could provide the game with replayability. (Perhaps it could be another game-mode in the future)
10.3 is the most my brain can pull off haha. It's a good game, and strangely enough, I feel the sound effects would be annoying in any other game, but somehow seem to work well here. Nice game!
This one needs reflexes from the very begining.
It would be nice to have some different sounds to make you feel like you are doing some king of music.
Incredibly difficult, but I live for those dancing frog monster sprites. Sound effects get a little rough to listen to after a while but apart from that I quite liked this. Sadly, I wasn't able to survive all the way to the end.

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Wow, an amazing little game! A bit too hard but the collision box are rather permitive, so... Still hard xD
I wanted to use Pico-8 for my entry too, but I still have zero experience with it, maybe for the next LD!
Great game, thanks!
