I really liked this game. The graphics are nice, and it's challenging. You made me interested into pico8
Awesome game! It took a while but I managed to get all three orbs, totally worth my time.
Great game!! The only thing i didn't like is it being turn based.
Dungeon keeper meets roguelike?
Wow. It's truly remarkable what you were able to accomplish in 48 hours. So much fun. I'll be playing this one again.
There's something so charming about the pico-8.
Wow. Very cool game! And in pico-8 nonetheless. Really enjoyed playing.
Fantastic game! I went back to it today and managed to gather the 3 orbs and beat the game.
Nice balance of strategy, randomness and challenge. It's so satisfying when everything goes as planned :)
Great work as usual!
Wow, this one is really good! I want to play some more which is very rare with Ludum dare games.
It's rather hard though and I only played on easy.
Brilliant and original idea, as always. Though the best tactic for me seems to be creating only 1 entry and stacking lots of defenders there, but I have to beat the game yet. Will surely get back to it to explore more tactics.
Pretty solid game, especially for pico8, but the gameplay was a bit too straight forward to me. Although that might be my own incompetence..
One of my favourites! Hard, even in the Easy mode, but rewarding and very fun. And addictive! Lots of possible strategies to try and resources to manage. Great one!
super job! very hard at first, but slowly you realize all the different strategies you can employ. makes me want to play a few (hundred) more times and really get good at it. really great job!
Simply outstanding. Clever design, stylish minimalistic art and so much fun to play!
Wow, this is really cool, there is not so much graphics, but really really cool gameplay - and that's really important. Good job!
Excellent, addictive and very with very cool graphism, I love this game!
Sadly an error (line 1331) block the game at a moment
Super fun, reminds me of playing Dungeon Keeper (with a dash of roguelike!). Have you posted the source anywhere? I'd love to see how you implemented this in Pico-8!
@jhrrsn on pico8 all game sources are available : You can dl the game png ( http://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/cposts/1/13025.p8.png ) and load it in pico8
Pretty amazing concept and interesting mechanics!
Really nice, congrats!
really fun!
(after you read the rules)
well balanced and good graphics!
very nice and original gameplay. The game felt a little hard to me.
It was a little difficult figuring out the gameplay at first. I didn't know that I was supposed to use the green guys to pick up the gold and return it to the boss. I was never able to figure out how to pickup or use the key.
Very nice game with a lot of options. Starting with zero gold is a bit harsh, as well as heroes spawning everywhere, but it has a lot of depth and potential.
Extremely polished and detailed game - especially for pico8! You've put so much thought and detail into each of the units' function and mechanics, and the UI is extremely well done. My main issue was that "X" is more traditionally cancel than action. Since "Z" and "X" map to "A" and "B" normally, I ended up buying things by accident while trying to cancel out of the shop occasionally. Apart from that all I think this game really needs is some music - the graphics work throughout is amazing (such as the title screen effect) and the game is very well balanced overall. Amazing work!
I absolutely loved the game, one of the best game i used to play on LD33 but the bug....of "line 1331" really....made me cringe more than usual. I couldn't finish your game because of that error :(
I really hope you fix it and that we will be able to actually finish your great game.
Please....fix it because it ruins the gameplay.
Thank you
One of the most fun games this LD!
Minimalist graphics yet beautiful and polished!
Great mechanics and gameplay!
I would love to see a post compo with more information about what does what
more unique units
sound track
Nice one! It is a bit strange that the more creature you control is the less you do. But the game is fun. :)
It took me a very long time to beat the game, but it worth it :) Excellent gameplay as always. Once you understand that mobs positioning is really important, everything becomes much simpler!
Good job :)
Game mechanics are awesome !
I played it for more than 30 minutes and I wand more !
Great game !
Interesting gameplay and mechanics!
Started on medium, and that was pretty fun to understand mechanics of the game throughout the process
Here's your 5!
The first game I've come back to and played again, not the most original but very very well done
Cool tech. You achieved a lot of depth especially considering the constraints of the system. Took a few tries to get going. It's a very addictive game once you get a hang of it.
Really impressive especially for a Pico-8 game. Played through to the end, got all three orbs, and loved it.
Wonderful! Even though the gameplay was different this brought back memories from the old Dungeon Keeper. Polished and readable visuals. Really nice entry!

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
I like the specialized purpose of the different minions. Clever, and really polished. Well done!
