music and sounds are really nice. i also enjoyed the hiding mechanic.
Cool gfx and nice with audio. A bit difficult to understand what to do. Got caught all the time :)
fun game - maybe the best sound/music i've stumbled upon so far
well done :D
It was very interesting to be able to hear the footsteps but not know exactly when the parents would come; yet, it made playing the game a bit hard. Also, for some reasons the pixels are all fuzzy! I liked the use of realistic sound effects and the design of the monster :p
Awesome game! Like the others I couldn't seem to beat the first level, but every time I got caught it scared me to death. The music is some of the best I've seen so far!
Damn, took me a few tries to work out how to grab the baby and escape in time. Very nice
The music and graphics were really good. I really like the idea of the footsteps being the signal for when to hide. It was a bit hard but I enjoyed it.
Love the music and the SFX. Great interpretation of the theme! Good work
Cute idea! I had trouble figuring out when exactly the mother got to the room, but i managed to finish it eventually.
Quite a challenge to successfully kidnap the baby but I have made it at last :) It would be great, if there were another levels where you kidnap more babies and enjoy the atmosphere even more
This game has a very cool mood to it. I especially like the music. The hiding is also fun
I had to play a few times to notice the connection between the footsteps and being caught. After I did, it seemed obvious, but the first couple times playing it I was experimenting with hiding so I didn't really pay attention to the sound effects.
Very nice job.
i keep getting caught before i can reach the book. music is very fitting to the theme!
Would have been nice if there was a visual cue for when the parents were coming/passing by/in the room? I heard the footsteps but couldn't tell if it was them coming, going, etc. I liked the idea though. Stealth is always fun. And baby-stealing is pretty monstrous.
Very challenging! It took me a little while to figure out how not to get caught.
Nabbed that little devil! Got caught a number of times in the process. Fun game overall. Has a lot of potential.
I caught him at last!
Simple, but moodish. Great music and great end
I don't seem to have any ability to beat this game, haha! But I keep trying because the art and audio are quite nice and fitting to the theme. Nice job!
Took me a couples tries to win, but I got it. The audio is really nice, and I liked the animation through the window, but the game is really short. You should add some more levels to it.
Great audio design. I thought the game was unfair until I put headphones on and turned the sound up. It would be nice if you could move diagonally, it was a bit jarring to stop moving when holding two arrow keys at once.
I was caught lots of times before I got the hang of it, and understood that the stepping noises was the parent. A time I finally grabbed the baby by walking on the wall (ftw) and hit behind the book, I got found. Then the last moment I went strait to the door and some one was coming, but I didn't win. In my panic I pressed space, and won. In the end, it seemed short, but nice entry any way. By the Collin bros. I guess?
The concept reminds me "Kobol ate my baby" roleplaying game xD. Good job!
The mood is really well done! It's really where this game stands out. The gameplay is a bit too simple. I wish the level was bigger, and you could hear different sounds of the parents coming and going (right now it's always the same sound, that means you get caught). Too bad the graphics are blurry, they're pretty neat otherwise.
Simplistic art which captures a suprisingly big mood. Great job.

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
I love the music and sfx, but I couldn't get anywhere. Nothing I tried seemed to make any difference and I was caught (a dozen or more times) within a few seconds.
