Neat graphics. The live video on the buildings was a nice touch. The music was good, but a little over bearing? It definitely set the mood :) The monster felt a little slow, and I think it'd have been more fun to smash things just a bit faster, or to include some sort of 'charging' mechanism.
Enjoyable Game. Love the music. Would love to have a few more attacks but still quite fun.
I loved the music, very funny and creative.
I also really liked the grainy effect (On the title and end cards), very old school monster movieish.
Great job!
I was not expecting to laugh at this! The music just makes it hilarious, and the gameplay is also pretty good and fun.
Very nice! The A Capella music was a nice touch and fit the style of the game. I like the idea of being a Godzilla-like monster. Excellent work!
This is the first idea I had for my game, you made it far better then I ever could. I would love faster gameplay though but I supposed huge monsters are slow.
Fun little game, and I LOVE the acappela version of the original Godzilla theme!
However, the gameplay feels a little shallow, and the camera should have been zoomed out further.
LOVED the music, and the game was super cool, good job, just wish the hitboxes were a bit smaller as I constantly felt like I was far away from the buildings, and the camera adjusted back a bit or atleat to give a better view of what was going on.
Loved the game, good job
Very well themed graphically and smashing buildings was a lot of fun, cool sounds effects and acapella music to boot, very in-keeping! Smashed up 38 buildings after I figured out that back / forward swing :P
Great execution, but the basic gameplay let's it down a bit. Still worth playing just for the music and that goofy smile on the monster :)
animated 3d objects, destroying buildings, and you're the monster... pretty amazing...
Great music! Who needs technology for audio having a voice? :D Nice graphics and the animation of buildings breking. Good work.
EXPECT TO HEAR A STERNLY WORDED LETTER FROM TOHO CO. LTD. AND FURTHERMORE...
Really cool graphics and music! I wish the controls were a little more...fluid? The clunkiness works with a giant monster but most of the time I felt like I was walking into things with my hands and then winding up to smash them, so I'm curious how much faster the game might be if I could flail the arms wildly.
Acapella soundtrack was hilarious. Love the model too - really funny looking in the game-over screen. Enjoyed playing it overall, smashing the buildings apart felt satisfying. Good job!
The music - You have really nice voice + really funny :)
Graphic - The main character should become a mascot for this edition of Ludumdare! Shame the main character doesn't move it's legs as you move. The building all looks alike and destroying them could be better. Floor would be nice as well.
Gameplay - Let's be honest could have been better. It comes to pressing w and mashing o and p as fast as you can.
What would I like to see is destorying a set up city (for example NY) and after I'm done watching what rumble my cute litte Ludzilla have done.
Overall: High on humor, theme and audio.
Man if only you had an actual game that I could play. This is no, nor will ever be a game
The hilarious monster and that music put a big goofy smile on my face the whole time I was playing this. Loved it!!
It's surprisingly satisfying to knock the buildings down, haha. The controls were confusing to me at first but I knocked down 60 buildings! The shaders were really cool, and the model of the monster too. The texture is a really nice touch.
Overall, great fun, the music is hilarious and the screens on top of certain building where you can see yourself are a nice touch!
It does feel a bit slow though, I think it would feel much more satisfying to be able to smash buildings faster ;)
Nice work anyway!
Very cool and fun game. Architectors, who build buildings that close to each other, are real monsters and they deserved Ludzilla. Music is FaNtAsTiC
WOW!!! Nice game. The audio is funny too! I managed to destroy 55 buildings. Cool.
The game itself was pretty cool. Camera could do with being moved up a little to give a little more visibility. Nice work.
Nice compo entry! Music is awesome!
Maybe faster animations would have felt better, other than that, nicely done! :)
HAHA Love the music. Well executed concept, really good job !
realy like this game, the graphics, and the a capella song was a very very simple and fun experience, also the monster remind me of the powerpuff girls monster love it =D
Fun game! Really want to know your implementation of the building destruction.
That's sounds nice, and funny main "hero". Maybe this game needs some enemy.
More camera angles and zoom please! Funny, weird little game.
Great way to do music! Never thought of that. The monster is pretty hilarious-looking too.
Nice. The helicopter view of the monster destruction on the buildings is cool.
Nice. The helicopter view of the monster destruction on the buildings is cool. The monster movement should have been faster. I can see it was deliberate, but dont know.
I love the music and title screen. I found the gameplay a bit sluggish. It could be very satisfying if it was faster.
Nice job overall!
What an awesome Soundtrack :D and the game is also very nice. But sadly there is no "Play again" button.
The music made just with voices is a good idea, but the main mechanic lacks of precision a little bit..
Loved the music, and the little (giant?) monitors on some of the buildings showing my rampage in progress.
Only two gripes: the ground should have some detail (feels like the monster and all these buildings are just floating in space), and I wish my monster punched faster. XD
For those who don't know, ThomeTheMagician is just commenting a negative comment because he created a copied game that broke several compo rules, and he is copying negative reviews by other users on his game to theirs. This game is legit, while his isn't.
The music is brilliant. Graphics and overall mood are really good too. The monster's attack motion felt a little bit slow and unnatural, which slightly got in the way of it being a fun rampage.
Animations are super problematic for any game where characters are in physical contact with each other or static geometry, and this game is no exception.
It's too slow, but I expect if you sped it up, it would just become more obvious that the claw/building interaction is a bit broken.
I destroyed 79 buildings! WOOO! The televisions showing your destruction of the city were a really nice touch.
The shatter effects were phenomenal, the music was amusing.
The gameplay was very quickly reduced to "hold w and mash O and P" which wasn't too amusing. It would have been really nice to be able to see what's in front of me, or to zoom out and see the destruction I'd made.
The music is so awesome. Game is fun. I like the destructible meshes - or however it's implemented :)
The music is fun, maybe the animation is a little bit slow. but nice job! I liked it!
Cool little game! I included it in part 14 of my Ludum Dare 33 Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/CvW_HEqR1oI
I love this game. The mood is great and the soundtrack is terrific!
The only issue I can think of is the camera: it would have been better with a first-person camera. Or maybe just a different angle.
Great entry. I hate to repeat other comments, but the music sets a great mood, well done.
Silly games like these are the reason I look forward to LD rating every time xP

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
I have to admit that the music was hilarious. Fit the mood of the game very well. ^^
