BONEVENTURE, a game in which you play as a skeleton.
Your ribs are your weapons, but also prevent you from dying!
What happens when you run out of ribs? Maybe it's time to pick up replacement...
Controls: WASD + Mouse
If you kill everyone but nothing happens, you can restart the level by pressing R.

Amazing, very well done and inovative. And I just loved the graphics!
I love it! The graphics and audio are good and great use of theme.
Wow, awesome, seriously. could use some audio, but with the polish that was put in other places, this really stands out as an awesome game
Good Concept, magic balls should despawn, it got a bit hectic in the game, and I think having harder enemies instead of more items on screen would have been better.
Awesome game. Definately a 5/5. Those electricity balls are way too relentless though, they should probably despawn after a while. I beat the red sorceror guy and everyone else in level 3 but I didn't get anything. Is this a bug?
To anyone asking/wondering: if you kill everyone but nothing happens, you can restart the level by pressing R. I'm sorry :(
This is great, I love the idea of ammo also serving as health, he magic orbs last too long but other than that the game's a very solid concept. The little touches such as the rib cage changing was a really cool. Good stuff!
Lol wut. This made in 48 hours? haha good job sir.
Such a great game and idea overall I could write too much.
Was kinda hard with those homing lighting things, but I think I'll come back to this soon. My computer been bugging out cause so many games, haha.
Been waiting a full 48 hours to play this game! haha. Great work on this, love the fact that you can just stuff your rib cage full of swords and wands. XD
Awesome Game! The only issue is that those magic Orbs dont go away. You should do it so that you can shoot them to kill them or something. Otherwise amazing work!
It works really well with the theme because you basically use parts of yourself as a weapon. Very interesting concept. And generated levels make the game replayable and enjoyable. Well done.
Really nice graphics and mechanics - I like how you lose your ribs and items upon being hit and need to pick them back up. Reminds me a lot of nuclear throne!
Great game concept and mechanics, nice pixel art. had fun playing it :)
This is a fun one, also I like how it is randomly generated, it adds replayability value which is something difficult to make in a game created in 48. Good Job!
it s an amazing fun game, the graphics are cool and the use of strategy and random dungeon is something that makes it to play over again
Amazing art style, music, and controls. Keeps you entertained though its a simple concept. Loving it!
Nice rouge-like took me a few deaths to get into it but it's pretty nice. Wish there were more mechanics to explore though.
Nice graphics, the game is fun to play, I enjoyed the variety of weapons!
Made a twitch Highlight of my playthrough of it. http://www.twitch.tv/alucardx60/c/6578849
Hahaha, this is a lovely idea. Your ammo being your health as well means you try to make every shot count. The magic balls the wizards shoot are pretty dangerous since they only vanish if they hit a wall.
Good job! I hate those wizards. What did you use for the music? It's very catchy :D
Beautiful :), but yeah, magic ball are OP :p.
Oh, and you did my first idea, thank to realize it :p
I'm a big fan of procedural generation, and the game's quite fun to boot. Great take on the theme and fantastic pixelart too. Two metacarpals way up!
Fun game, but other than dodge the attacks it won't seem like it has an end
Pretty nifty idea, and nice detail on the ribs :D Those homing balls are incredibly annoying too :p
Trip to IKEo, hum? Shooting with your ribs and procedural levels? A moody melody and 8 bit sounds combined with strategical play? ... I absolutely love it! Excuse me now! I have to play your game ;)
I really like the graphics and audio. Everything is really polished :)
Good entry, I love the dungeon crawling concept with bones. I love the pixel art style.
Great looking entry, the graphics look so polished. Also liked that the ribs are your energy and your weapon, was a nice touch.
Great work! At first, I didn't realize the skeleton was storing this in place of his ribs. When I did, 5/5
Perfect game. I am speechless on how you made all this in 48 hours.
I think that i found a bug in the game, human have 7 ribs IIRC but the game let me use only 6.
Joking aside, the game is pretty fun and have cool music and sprite, the gameplay is not so innovative and the weapon are not "unconventional" in some sense.
Also, you should make it clear that you can pick as many item as you want from the pile of rubbish, would have saved me some times
Definitely one of my favorites. I really liked playing this. Really fun game.
Great concept, beautiful game. Well made! I included it in part 8 of my Ludum Dare 32 compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/Fg_0-yj__pU

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Like the graphics and gameplay a lot. I couldn't figure out how to make the balls of magic go away without absorbing the damage. Maybe you're meant to get hit? Good game overall!
