Unconventional Tower
Description:
Once upon a time there was a mighty wizard who designed and forged most of the epic weapons you know from any fantasy game (remember Sulfuras?). That time is long gone.
Hundreds of years have passed without any incidents. But at one point, the darkest of all creatures began to creep to the surface… And they are after the wizards gold!
The wise wizard knew about that long before it happened and began to research on the creatures and how to stop them.
'Long before it happened' means three days ago.
Unfortunately, the wizard wasn’t able to create a powerful weapon to defeat the darkness itself, but at least he found a way to slow and eventually destroy the creeps. Plus he found a way to teleport his gold to an other dimension, but that takes time and the creeps (we shall call them taxmen) are on their way!
In this unconventional game you can not only control the wizard’s staff, which serves as two weapons in one, but also the tower on which the wizard stands itself!
The staff has two properties: From one end you can shoot „normal“ bullets that rout the enemies. If you turn it around, the other end of the staff shoots a mighty lightning bolt which destroys all enemies in its pathway.

This is my first game ever. I'd appreciate feedback! Thanks for playing! :)

Crazy Wizard! The moving tower is awsome and works great with the Controlls. Well done, and fun to play!
This is awesome!
First off: very well done for a first try, keep it up!
Great music, love the graphics. It took me a while to get that the staff has two "weapons".
I would have liked to see my score, maybe you could implement that in a later version?
Excellent job for a first game! :D
It was fun to control the tower and shoot the taxmen, but other end of the staff was really difficult to aim since it went in the other direction.
Your first game ever? Are you kidding me?
Absolutely fantastic, ESPECIALLY for a first go!
Great visuals, sound, fun mechanic (love that you aren't stationary). Great job!!
Cool, good work. I love that you can move the big tower around. Music gave the game a great feel. Took a while to work out the other end of the staff, but I like how it works. What's not to love about fending off tax men.
good first entry. As I played, I could only imagine how awesome it'd be to have an anti-tax collector weapon in real life.
Next year I'll use your game for my tax return, instead of Turbo Tax :D. Though I think that the taxman won't be too happy :P.
Very nice, the particle fx were great, satisfying explosions and decent sounds.
Nice to see someone try something totally different!
Great job for your first entry. I like how the two ends of the staff worked - a nice twist on mouse aiming.
:) Fun game.
Good to see people using unity player still too..I had to download so many games this LD ;)
Really good, man! Had fun there, nice one with the moving tower! taxmen? lol
good work, nice concept of moving tower! Each enemy could have some internal counter, after some limit he dies. But it is funny this way anyway :)
Nice game!! Congratulations on your first creation :D. The controls respond very well. The music was nice and I liked the graphics and effects too. For me it was not so obvious firing with right click. The first time I fired the other side of the staff the bullet (comet) went upwards, so I understood that you have to rotate the staff and aim with the other side. But at the end I understood and was a lot of fun. Good job and nice wizard :D

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Very funny
Nice first entry
