In Rotten Fruit of the death your character needs to use a rotten fruit to kill his enemies. But while you hold the fruit you also loose health, you've to go fast.
Gamepads are compatible, D-Pad to move, B to dash/rush. With the keyboard, arrow keys are for moving, Shift key is for Dash/rush.
When you finish a level you have to use A on gamepad or Space on keyboard to go to the next one. You've 3 levels and the last screen will give you your final score.
First you've to grab the purple fruit, then go fast to kill the enemies by passing through them with the fruit. When you kill one enemy you earn 20 points for the score and your health.
Every seconds with the fruit in your hands you lose 10 points of health.
If you hit a wall you'll lose the fruit and it will reduce it's size by two each time you'll lose it. If it disappear you lose and you'll have to start back to level 1 (same result if your character dies).
Have fun, thanks for playing.
This game has been made with Construct 2 (free edition), some graphics with Construct 2 itself and main page with illustrator. The sounds has been generated with Sfxr and the music with Otomata.

Thanks for the comment, i may continue working on the game a bit later, i've some idea for levels and game mechanics :D
A simple concept that has been done before however it isn't normally done as well as you have done it here. I love the pressure you feel when holding the fruit that makes you want to play fast, but when you do you crash into walls more often.
That's exactly what i wanted to make players feel. The urge of going fast and be careful at the same time, that's the same with the dash i've added in the end. Glad you liked it, it means a lot to me as it's my first game.
Fun, relaxing game. It might be just me but it felt kinda weird moving trough the enemies but I guess the game wouldn't work if the enemies hurt.
Nice gameplay and the animation of the eyes were really nice too, congrats.
Love the music. I couldnt beat the level it was hard. It would be cool if you could use the weapon in a few different ways, maybe throw it. Nice game!
@Hyoga-3D happy you noticed it. It was in my last additions to the project :) - @thumbgarden I thought about the throwing part, but didn't success to made it work a really nice way and without being a big risk for the hero's health. thanks for the comment :)
the game is nice and addicting .. however the fruit following just needs some inhancmemts
@Xgor, to be honest in early version of the game the enemies were hurting you if you weren't carrying the fruit. I've also some ideas where the enemies would be wandering all over the place and detect you. I might improve the game in a near future. Thanks for playing
@thephantom thanks for the comment. I think i'm gonna find a way to make it stay in front of the hero at all time to avoid the floating effect
Very stylish and cool. Only complaint I have is the fact you have to restart from the beginning instead of the level you are in. Controls could be a bit tighter as well, but the concept is very good and the game is pretty fun. Sound is pretty appropriate as well.
Good job!
@esayitch The restart when you die was meant to be like that to had difficulty. Thanks for your comment :)
Not a bad game!
A health bar would really help see your condition at a glance, and I agree the enemies would feel more like enemies if they could harm you in some way while you're not carrying the fruit.
Nice game. Many times I just start playing without reading the controls and tutorial, but in this case I had to go back to understand the mechanics. Good job anyway.
@Koredozo, i've retested the version i've uploaded, and you're hurt by the enemies while you don't have the fruit. You juste lose 5 points of health (if you look at the top right of the screen) i thought i had removed that but it's still in it. Just missing a sound or graphic feedback to that.
@LuisDC, i added that in the end because i thought that maybe it wouldn't be clear enough. I note each comment for my next game and the new version of that one. Thanks for playing :)
I'm not sure how I feel about this game. There just doesn't seem to be much to it. I can see, how the game might become interesting once more features are implemented, but as it is it simply wasn't fun to me.
@rectangular Tim, yeah i understand that, here it is more a start of a concept that need to be dig a bit more to become more enjoyable and fun. I've a list of idea for next iteration of it that i'm gonna try later, like having the enemies to shoot at you when they see you, having more items to gather health, i'm working on finding a way to make a fast pace stealth game.
Nice game, cool mechanic and fitting graphics (i dont know why but i really like that your character is reversed when heading left) but was lacking a bit of challenge.
Controls on gamepad was quite inaccurate so I switched to keyboard. I like graphic style and sounds.
thanks @ermrk, i've included the gamepad quite late in the making and didn't know if i had to remove it or not. @Junber i'm working on the concept right now to make the fruit throwable and stuff. Thanks for the comment :)
Nice game! Really adictive. It was a little bit frustrating to start all over again each time I loose.
@OrangeSpikyGames and @gruhn thanks for playing and your comment. Do not hesitate to follow the game on Gamejolt, i'll try to keep it up to date in the following weeks :)

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Cool theme integration and simple but addicting gameplay. Nice job.
