Best control teaching of any game I've played yet this LD
Very funny, i'd really like to play more levels. Keep up the good work.
Awesome game, although it's simple, I found my self enjoying it a lot. Great Work!
Really fun game, with excellent music. Funny theme, simple mechanics.
Very nice! The hover mechanic is especially fun, and the level design is great. The length and the difficulty of the game seem perfect, too.
I actually really enjoyed this game; It controlled well and used the weapon innovatively!
great game , very smart and funny and the mechanics are great... also good job on the tutorial.
The art in this game is just great. From the music, to the graphics, it's just amazing! Also a great concept and great tutorials btw. The controls were kind of glitchy, but overall a great game!
Like the idea of giving people lovely hair, while it is another platformer, it has a lot of charm.
Great tutorial level and gameplay, such adorable art, and the sound was great! You should be so proud, this is wonderful :)
This was great, I loved the color palette! The hovering mechanic was really fun and the tutorial section was very helpful. I'd definitely play again if there was more content, great work!
I coudn't stop until I dried every frizzled head. Good mechanics, beautiful graphics, nice music, and a well designed level. This game has everything!
Adorable!! I felt warm and fuzzy inside. As someone who uses a hair dryer on a regular basis, I appreciated the concept. Control teaching was simple, too, which was very nice (I had to use a clunky instructions on title screen to get the controls across).
Though I wonder how your girlfriends manage to survive stuck in that ice like that?
My head was filled with Zohan quotes while playing this. I really had to stretch to come up with any critique or complaint for this game. The only thing I came up with is the jump key felt just a touch unresponsive here and there. Excellent work!
I really like how the hover mechanic worked with the level design. And those ladies getting their hair done is so funny and adorable, hahahhahah. Good job!
Pretty game, pretty graphics, and pretty gameplay... Original and really cool way to use the proposed theme.
Simple idea really good executed.
Best entry that I played so far! I really like the tutorial and the platform. The only thing I dislike is the position of the gliding button. It would be a lot easier if the player could hold the jump button to glide.
Great innovation and great graphics. I really like the hairdryer, really fun game. Well done!
Great little platformer!, quite fun and well executed.
Extra kudos for using HaxeFlixel :)
Really good game. I loved the concept. The hover mechanic is especially fun. The level design is great - the music too. Neat. Thank you ++
Oh my god!! Very funny game !! I love the principal character!
Nice game! It was confusing a bit using down as the attack. I'm so use to using down for aiming as opposed to doing the attacking. Overall, nice job!
I DAZZLED ALL THE FRAZZLED HEADS! Wasn't sure about this game until I frazzled my first head and melted my first snowman. Then the rest they say is history...
Fun concept, nice execution. I loved how you can jetpack with a freakin' hair dryer. Great job! :D
Absolutely loved the platforming mechanics. I could see you've pretty much thought of everything you could with a hairdryer. A fun game overall with nice art and audio.
Really good concept! Cute graphics. The down arrow seems counter intuitive to me though.
Top notch entry, controls were solid and the glide made for some interesting obstacles. With the cute graphics and sweet music and sound, this is a really good little platformer.
NICE
Nice look and definitely an interesting take on the theme. Very solid game. IMAHO it just needs some more effects to feel better.
This was really fun. The graphics are cute, I love these grumpy snowmans. The part where you have to glide over the spikes in a tight corridor was pretty hard at first, but I got used to it.
I dazzled all those frazzled heads! Great take on the theme, the mechanics were really clever and well implemented. Also hilarious, great job!
15/15!
Looks, sounds, and feels good.
Double jumping was sometimes a bit dodgy, but other than that no issues.
Awesome game! Fun mechanic of the jump hover, and nice theme. Controls were solid.
Very nice game. The game feels very polished and has good solid controls, very pleasing graphics and nice sound.
Very fun! I had a little trouble finding the last one, but finally all my friends' hair are faaaaabulous.
Cool that each friend is also a respawning point
Awesome. Loved the gameplay - solid and fluid. Tutorials were excellently embedded - I barely noticed I was learning from them. Music and sound effects all used excellently.
Solid entry! Really cute, polished platformer. Nice mood and theme usage as well.
Fantastic entry, loved every second of it! From the cute concept to the interesting platforming mechanics, you totally nailed it. The only thing it could have used is a little more opposition in the form of enemies or challenging platforming near the endgame (tho its non linear, so theres not really an endgame). Great work!!
This was a super fun concept, I had a great time making my friends fabulous!
Oh, it's adorable! The unconventional weapon is so cute hehehe
The graphics are gorgeous, the music is good and the gameplay is great. Very nice entry :))
Not sure what I can say except that this was super fun! Really liked the gliding.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to say thank you to you all for you're wonderful comments! I'm super happy that all of you enjoyed it and that there were only very minor issues with the game. Thank you so much!
Fun game! Nice colours and sprites, good music, cool multi-purpose weapon, funny take on the theme, I enjoyed it overall :)
As others have said, the controls seemed a little unresponsive at times, sometimes locking and forcing me to travel in a direction, other times making me miss a jump.
What a wonderful game! You must have put alot of work into it. well done!
Woo! I'm a real frazzle dazzer! Nice concept, with some really nice ideas and self-awareness (jumps that can't be made are obvious, jumps that need to be made in a special way, and so no).
Wow, really fun game! Played through the whole thing. I liked the chilled out blippy music, the quirky setup, and I really liked the main mechanic! It felt good to float around with a hairdryer! And, it felt good to help out all of those bad-hair-day victims. :)
Real funny take on the theme, a simple but elegant mechanic can make for some quite fun platforming if you know your level design (you do!) Dig the track too, well done!
Well done game. Nice visuals and animations. Interesting weapon idea!
Cute game! although if I was stuck in a block of ice like that then a bad hair day would be the least of my problems :P
Very lovely game. Simple, yet fun idea which translates on simple, but fun gameplay. Solid entry!
This game pretty much has all of the things I'm looking for when playing an LD game:
- Solid and consistent graphic style
- Cohesive sound effects and music that fits the world
- An inviting title screen with a game logo/title
- Clear instructions without spelling everything out for you
- Progressively more difficult challenges and
- Interesting level design
- Not too short and not too long (1 min games and 30+ min games don't really do it for me with LD)
- Tight control response
- Not too many controls to remember that it becomes a headache
- Fits the theme
- Clear level goals and life indicator in the UI
- Playable in browser
I actually played through the game twice. The game is just fun, and solid in all areas. Excellent job!
That was incredible! I fell in love with this game the moment I dazzled my first head. You have no idea how happy this game made me. The aesthetic and audio is very solid and the controls felt great. Your instructions were not disruptive and allowed me to jump in without feeling like my hand was held. Your game is great!
I was unaware that snowmen were the natural enemy of hairdressers, but I guess that makes sense. Great personality and polish.
Ah cool idea! I think this is one of my favorite uses of the theme. Great art and music, and well polished. Good job!
Really good game! Nice character design!
It bugged out for me. I hit the spikes and spawned inside the wall. I should have taken the screenshot, o well.
Very spiffy graphics. Some nostalgia with the blue and pink graphics. So CGA.
I dazzled all the frazzles and I loved every minute of it!
Best developer and composer here. You really nail game design. Collision detection is a bit buggy though.
I loved the level design of this game, you made a really solid entry here !
The only problem of this game how some of those "things" you are supposed to fix their hair are hidden in ice blocks. It was more fun finding them in "hard to reach places" instead of just blowing ice bricks.
The controls were good too!
Very nice and short game, not too challenging but still enjoyed it! Great work!
totally frazzled, no more bad hairdays..a very polished game, supersmooth controlles, good vibes..excellent job!
Fun and simple, great level design, loved that the snowmen were enemies!
Excellent entry, I love it! Fun and challenging platform game, nice graphics and catchy tune! It's impressive that you built all this (with a huge level) in 48h! Congrats! :)
Very competent, feels complete :) Everything works and is reasonably polished.
The concept works well, thought it feels like a theme-swap to replace goals/waypoints with guys with bad hair. The double jump also seems to just be there just because? I guess what I'm saying there's not a tight enough integration between the mechanics and the theme to my mind.
Well designed levels lead the player around clearly enough.
I would have like to know when my blowdryer was going to run out when I'm flying in the air.
Good stuff :)
I really enjoyed this! I love how you used the hair dryer to do 3 different things: fight enemy snowmen, melt ice-block obstacles, and the goal element of fixing all your friends' bad hair days. It was really satisfying to find all your friends, owing in part to the nice level design you did. Great stuff!
Super cool mechanic, well introduced and really fun to play around with. Also, sweet tunes!
Amazing game, possibly even my favourite so far! Everything about this works beautifully and the level design is just outstanding. Top marks!
Cool cool cool game! Trying to perform precise double jumps and hovering maneuvers using just the arrow keys was difficult at times, but overall I had a lot of fun. ^_^
One of my favorite LD games so far. Great use of the theme, great tutorial, great music, and great hair! The controls were a little difficult at first and took some getting used to, but otherwise, great entry.
This was a pretty fun game. I think they way you implemented the hair dryer was awesome! I'd definitely like to see more.
Pssst - you are in todays Ludum Dare to Believe! Check it out! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTrb1Vurkpk
Good game.. high marks from me. It is funny how there is another game where you use air as a weapon and to hover.. X-11. Guess the idea is just something that's "in the air".
This is adorable! My favorite part was being able to use the hair dryer to float.
Great fun, a bit hard for me. Like the idea with the hairdryer.
Cool game and good idea!
I think just the level design should be smaller and less empty.
Cool game! Great idea with the hair dryer :-)
Graphics are lo-res but well done, music is fitting for your game - nice work.
Controls, especially jumping at edges of platforms, are a bit tricky and I got stuck one time into a wall after dying and couldn't continue. Fun jam entry!
Great little platformer. A fun idea for a weapon and some interesting uses of it.
Fun game, pity I got stuck at 12/15 found.. It thought I found a guy which I didn't free of the ice yet..
Fun and interesting take on the theme! The level design was entertaining, and I loved exploring to find everyone. Graphics were cute, and the smooth camera was a nice touch. A larger version of this game would be great.

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Really good game. i loved the concept. really clever use of the weapon overall. i had a generally good time.
