You wake up to see that you are stranded in some mysterious world that you must escape. You realize that this world exists in two separate dimensions. Each object in this mysterious world can only exist in one dimension. With the exception of objects color coded purple. As you try to find your way out, you suddenly gain the ability to travel between the two dimensions. You also can fire bullets out of your chest, that can freeze moving objects. As these moving objects are frozen, they gain the ability to travel between dimensions, like you. You can shoot them again to unfreeze them, and they lose their ability to travel between dimensions. You now need to use your powers as a weapon, as an advantage to solve the 7 puzzles ahead of you to escape this mysterious world, and return to your home. Good luck.
*PLEASE READ*
This game is unfinished in some ways, as there are some bugs that you should be aware of. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to fix them. :( I may to a post compo version where the bugs are fixed.
-Sometimes, if you try to move a direction, you don't move at all. This can be fixed by jumping and then moving in the direction you want to go.
-When you change dimension while standing on a blue tile that is floating in the air, you don't fall until you jump.
-When respawning or entering a new level, you fall very slowly if you don't jump.
-If you're on windows, the screen may flicker black and white a bit on the bottom or right.
-(this is not really a bug, but anyway) When you change dimension, if you are inside of a block, your position may be glitched.
Please don't use any of these bugs to your advantage, to keep the gameplay fair.
So yeah, this game is unfinshed in some ways. But I'm very happy with the way it is, and the amount I got done. I am also only 13 years old, and I reckon to program a game as big as this one in 48 hours is amazing. Please leave feedback, because that would be helpful. :) Enjoy the game!
*EDIT*
I made a mistake in the help menu. You are actually meant to press 'enter' or 'return' when opening the door instead of jump.

Very nice game! Solid level design and great puzzles for a simple game. Keep it up!
I can't seem to open the door. I tried jumping in front of it, onto it, from it... :(
Doesn't seem to fit the theme particularly?
It's a nice game with a solid idea but it's very buggy now. I hope to see this game increase in popularity with some patches.
the road is long and rocky, but i also think it's a good (first) effort. the controls feel kinda sluggy. also, take a look at this: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/647851
it's an entry from adventureislands in one of the last few LDs and get inspired, because it is similar to your game
oh, and nobody reads how-to's. especially if they are as long as yours ;)
I think the download link is broken. A white page with nothing on it shows up. I'll save my vote for later on this one.
Left makes you go forever and doesn't check if anything is under you i think, so it just gets you through any obstacles to the left. that being said, I enjoyed the game a lot! The bullet freezing thing was clever and it took me a while to actually get through just the first level that included it! but it was a really fun game!
@Sim00n I tested the download link myself, and it was fine. Probably just your internet, or mediafire.
Cool concept and game with nice levels and it is intersting
bugs:
When i press Q it is jumping to level 3.. 5 ... supposed to be mute.
When you press fastly two times left arrow player slides to the door bit door not opening..
if you work on the game more tweet me
I'm stuck at the beginning of level 2. Can the bullet from the gun be in the same dimension as me? Because the bullet is being blocked by a space that supposed to be a red block (but I'm in a dimension with the blue blocks.)
It's great! You have such a satisfying game of changing between dimensions! Really liked it. Good mixture of platforms and puzzles and good use of the graphics to communicate. Keep working, this is so good ^^.
@jprogman. Yes, it can. You just need to fire a bullet like you would when you fire a bullet at the enemy in the first level.
@paruthidotexe Thanks for letting me know. I fixed the first bug, but the second wasn't a bug. I made a mistake in the help menu, and you are actually meant to press 'enter' instead of jump.
Nice entry! The character could of used some friction when landing, I kept slipping off the blocks.
Nice game, the puzzles are well designed with the dimension switching. Controls were a bit stiff, but that's probably a subjective thing.
It's fun, but it needs some polish. ;) First, in games like this, usually there's something showing you what's in the other dimension, like a ghost image or something; that makes sure you know what you're leaping into. Second, I noticed that when you switch dimensions, your jump stops; this makes it difficult to make some jumps. Also, I wasn't sure what to do in the second level; I tried shooting the gun to make it go to the other dimension, but it didn't work. Oh well, whatever.
@Chaoseed Thanks for the constructive feedback. And you and meant to shoot the bullet, not the gun. :)
Someone else said you should do a post ludum dare version. And I agree.

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
Awesome game dude!!! I think you should continue after ludum dare :)
