great game and mechanicsss clever usage of that blue crystal (y)
Very impressive graphics! Amazing amount of visual polish for the compo. I feel like the controls are a little floaty though.
i really like the graphics, the overall game is really nice, the only thing bad about it is no music and the platform detection is a little edgy
Very nice visuals. The atmosphere was good. I had some issues telling apart the orange and red crystals some times. The blue crystal freezing the water was a nice effect. Well done!
Great work, a lot of fun! Now I could only wish for music and SFX as beautiful as the graphics are.
O-o-o-oh, these visuals are ama-a-azing, I love them.
But, seriously, very solid and great entry. Good job!
Very interesting visuals, I wished there were more animations in there. The mechanics are interesting, but I found that sending the gems where I wanted them to is way too hard. I had to retry some rather simple shots a lot.
Also the controls of the character are kinda clunky.
Aside from that, I really enjoyedit.
Graphics is good. No tutorials. Holding mouse button to throw farther learned occassionally.
Good game. Thank you.
Beautifully crisp graphics and great level design! I just wish there was a way to tell what color crystal you're currently holding.
I found it a bit too easy to get yourself into a pickle, having to restart a level. Looks cute.
Lovely graphics and great atmosphere. Visually polished for a compo entry, only negative points - it did feel like it needed a bit more gravity and the movement seemed slightly jerky. Good work!
This is really nice! The slingshot mechanic is really solid. Great work :D
I wish I could have picked up more than one crystal at a time, cycling through colors.
Really pretty graphics and nice execution, movement could be a bit more fluid and levels could be designed so you couldn't get "stuck" so often when you run out of crystals. Nice job!
This game looks so good ! The mechanic are very well made ! Well done :)
Very charming game :D
Loved the graphics and the gameplay :D
I only disliked that the first time you encounter the ice stone, you dont get a clue of what to do with the stone :)
sweet game! It takes a few shots to understand what path the shots will take as it is neither linear nor an ideal projectile :D. Nice work!
I like this! Very nice graphics! Could use some music but it's understandable.
Great pixel art and puzzle element. Also, the crystals look beautiful.
Cute game with nice presentation. I like the gem throwing idea. Freezing the water with the blue gem felt really inventive.
Although, the aiming was a bit of a hassle and the movement is a tiny bit clunky. I got stuck in the boss room several times because the platforms seem to overlap and their collision areas can catch you.
Very nice entry! The graphics are epic, and the crystal mechanic is really cool. The game feels somewhat short (which is to be expected from a compo entry), but it also feels very complete. Great work!
Nice entry. Maybe a little bit too slow, but I like aesthetic, mechanic and mood. Why not add some music? However it's really neat. Thank you ++
Great graphics and nice innovation. Very original! Fun game overall, I supported it too!
Really really solid entry. The mechanics are easily understandable without much explanations. The graphics are extremely nice and polished and it's not too long or too short to test it fully. The physics is just a bit slow which can be annoying at times. Other than that great game!
Congratulations on finishing your game! I really liked the graphics and the idea was interesting...but I can't seem to use that weapon properly so I'm stuck at the beginning not knowing what to do X'). Too bad I can't see the rest of the game.
Very good atmosphere and mood, with interesting and clever gameplay mechanics! Well done!
Really cool visuals! The sound could be quite annoying, but nonetheless, great job!
Nice game. It is very impressive for a compo entry, especially with the nice graphics and different glowing crystals. You've managed to juice out several game play elements from something simple. Well done :)
overall very nice game - the controls need some tweaks - nice job
That was simply excellent. First LD game so far that has had my heart racing like that after finishing. My only gripe is that the menu graphics are a bit ugly but the graphics of gameplay make up for that entirely.
Apologies for that previous comment - wrong game! The graphics for this were beautiful though, and the menu graphics weren't a let down. I loved the lighting.
I'm colourblind so I had trouble telling the difference between the red and, er, red crystals. They both looked red to me.
Heck, this game looks amazing! It was fun to play, too. The lighting is just perfect, so beautiful!
The physics were a bit nasty here and there (my little heroine got stuck at the edges of objetcs like between the two wings of the trap door in the boss fight), but that's really #firstworldproblems. This is an excellent game and you should be proud!
Fantastic game! The art style is great, and the weapon concept is very original. That ice crystal though! :P Great entry.
Awesome looking game, with a great mood. Pity there is no fitting soundtrack though. Controls are a bit floaty, but otherwise good!
Really enjoyed this, and your pixel art is amazing! Can you provide a downloadable build? Having made a platformer/Metroidvania myself I'd like to keep some of the games I like as studies into the genre.
Thanks a lot for all your feedbacks!
@phi6: I added a .swf file download link :)
The controls could use some work, and the enemies are very unforgiving. It's easy to miss a shot, and you the only things left to do is to restart the level. Not cool.
Neat mechanic, and some great bg pixelart. The retro style coupled with the blip sfx gave me a Captain Comic vibe; could be extra nostalgic with a nice chiptune soundtrack!
Very pretty and well designed. The controls could use tightening.
Very cool lightning system, the controls are a bit off. A nice improvement can be to show the line of fire for aiming and display what crystal you have.
It was an interesting take on the theme. Sorry, I didn't finish the game. Puzzle platformers are not my cup of tea. But still, you did a fantastic job creating this in the time frame!
Finished! \o/
The graphics are gorgeous and has a cool gameplay. Also, it's an interesting interpretation of the theme. Good entry :D
Very pretty, cool mood, nice graphics. I did find the mechanics a bit tricky. Namely, I would've really liked an indicator of where my shots would go. Shooting dark things in the darkness is tough enough. I'm sure that's a time thing, but in a future version, it'd be nice to be able to line up trick shots, see how they bounce, etc.
its a good idea, but having to go pick up my shots is not too fun. so i felt like i was making the game harder and more tedious for myself by mis-aiming and not hitting anything

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
I love this idea, it's a really clever take on the theme and it's absolutely gorgeous and atmospheric. Man the enemy flying eyes are creepy. I might suggest working on the platforming physics, they feel a little bit floaty, but great work regardless!
