Well, game is about Bard, who can use his songs to kill or to fly. There's some sort of objective - kill all enemies on map. Level and enemies' position are random.
Arrow keys(or 'A' and 'D') to move
'Q' to fly
'E' to kill
Post-compo update:
- fixed enemies' spawn position
- fixed enemy counter
- fixed collision with blocks and enemies
- reduced damage dealt from 50 to 25
- added cooldown timer, reduced cooldown time
- changed fonts
- added ability to restart game
- added additional background textures

Nice sound effects, and quite a heavy-metal singer he is, if these are his songs :) Cooldown feedback would have been nice. Currently I'm just spamming buttons waiting for things to happen. Otherwise controls work, in general. Navigating the room is pretty easy.
Nice sound effects but a I missed a menu. A jump feature would be great
Nice and simple game, but i could spam. Nice pixel graphics.
I had my earphones plugged when I launched the attack "song". I understand what the opponents suffer. Straight forward concept.
I think you should fix your code for how you spawn enemies and the player. I spawned in a wall and saw several enemies in walls. Allso after I killed an enemy he spawned right above me and killed me.
Thanks for feedback. About cooldown timer and spawn problems - I was simply running out of time, so I had to skip that. And menu... Well, when I remembered that I need one, it was already too late
Like the use of the Bard's voice to allow him to fly or kill enemies.
Need to have checks that the maps are "possible", as there were lots of games you couldn't fit through. But I think the concept could be worked on and improved :D
It's an interesting idea, and I like the art and music, but the controls are simply too awkward. I really like the idea of limiting the ability to jump. I thought that, with 100 health points, I would be able to escape death if cornered but it seems like it's just an insta death if you get caught on a block or something.
Nice and quite challenging after all, I just wish the jump was a little more sensitive because sometimes you're just too slow to dodge enemies.
thoughts:
- nice music [ well, the song that is playing, not so much the bard's singing ;-) ]
- maybe check the collision mechanics: sometimes the bard fit between two blocks and sometimes he didn't
(- why .7z? 'jar' is already an archive, and it doesn't seem to do much for the .wav file ... but using 7zip can limit your audience to people knowing that particular format)
Yeah, after submitting I've noticed some problems with collision, will definitely fix it.
Why '.7z'? I just didn't even choose, it's common format for me, so adding '.zip' now.
Seems like this game is very much in the "didn't have time to do everything I wanted" category. It comes of pretty well despite all that.
Cooldown feedback would be great to have! Other than that, solid game.
I ran the game, died instantly, then I ran it again and ended up spawned in a wall xD but it's a nice little game when I got to play it. A very unconventional weapon!

Game should have ended on 12 killed enemies, but one wrong variable and it's infinite now. With negative enemies left. And '8 enemies to kill' on start
Interesting game. Yes, it would be great to see the codling between abilities and prevent the enemies from spawning inside the blocks which can make the game impossible.
An indicator of the cooldown would be nice, but simple and fun to play. Sometimes the random level generation would put enemies in places I couldn't get into.
It's quite a simple game, and there are a couple bugs (the player and enemy could spawn in walls for example), but the art and music was pretty cool, and the 'weapon' was pretty funny :)
I'd say a cooldown bar or something would be helpful, because it's hard for the player to tell when the next song is ready. Other than those (easily fixable) bugs, it's a pretty cool game.
Cute little game, couldn't kill the last guy in the level though since it got stuck between floating blocks and the player can't fly and fire at the same time. Nice work!
When I press Q to fly, my character starts going up and never comes back down. As a result, the game is unplayable for me.

Mini Submission FAQ
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
CAN I ENTER BOTH EVENTS?: You should pick 1 event, whichever you think it’ll do better in. If the idea is strong, and everything plays well enough, you can go Compo. If you’re a perfectionist, and would prefer people to play a more polished game, do the Jam. Historically, more games are entered in the Compo, but with more people and more time, Jam games have the potential to be better (that doesn’t mean they are). Many solo participants do enter the Jam.
If you made 2 games, unfortunately, the website doesn’t support multiple submissions per user. To submit your 2nd game, you will have to make a 2nd account. Only do this if you made 2 games. Alternatively, if one game is better than the other, then consider just entering the better game.
CAN I KEEP WORKING UNTIL THE DEADLINE?: Yes! Immediately after the 48 or 72 hours, we do something called Submission Hour. As the name suggests, it’s an extra hour for you to package, upload, and submit your games. If there were catastrophic issues trying submitting your game, or you misunderstood how submissions work, that’s okay. It happens. We’re flexible. If you need advice, check with the folks on IRC. If you need an admin, get in touch.
CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate at least 20 games to improve your visibility (Coolness).
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crashes, win condition, or tiny bugs after the deadline. In a sense, this is like “porting” to support more players. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just fixing mistakes you should have caught had you been better rested.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
A simple game, straight-forward. It would've been cool to see the cooldown between abilities.
