Press Enter to toggle fullscreen for best quality. (Internet explorer does not support fullscreen). Please report any problems you may encounter so I can try help to fix them.
Important: There has been an issue with the firefox version. I'm hoping it is fixed now (at least it runs on my machine in FF). Please use chrome or the desktop version if you encounter any problems (and comment here so I'm aware ;) ).
Game Rules
-----
Try to get to the goal tile marked with the flag. You have to eat all the pass all food tiles before you can finish the level. Locked tiles cannot be passed until all keys have been passed.
Controls
--------
ASWD/Arrow Keys: Move Direction
Enter: Fullscreen
R: Restart
M: Pause/Play music
I: Toggle Icons (I initially made the game without the icons, but added them last minute. I find the visual style much more appealing without them, but in some levels it's useful to have them ;) )
You can make your own levels in the desktop version. A readme is supplied. Only a paint program (that supports transparency) is needed ;)
Other Stuff
-----------
All content (except for level 9, thanks for cthulhu) has has been created during the compo.
I used libgdx and tilegrid (a self made library with some utilities. Probably not much worth looking at ;) If you're interested you find the tilegrid source on my github ).
The rest (game logic, screen fx, music etc.) has also been done during the time of the compo. For the sfx i used bfxr, the music was done with ableton live. Was a lot of fun. I need sleep...

Hey. Thanks for the feedback. The idea of the game is, that the 32x20 playfield is a screen ;) i didn't want to represent the player as moving object at first, but wanted to show the position of the player by intensifying the pixels color... plans didn't work out. So you have a player object which is running on the screen pixels :D

I can't seem to get past this part.
Otherwise, the game is pretty fun and I like the way you went about the theme! Great music too.
The movement is a bit jittery, but works.
Nice game!
Hmm... From your screenshot it looks like the player went just past the goal (which should not happen). I have some suspicions on why this might be, but not yet sure about it, as I could not reproduce the problem. Hopefully I can find the bug :D
Neat concept, there was some frame drops/lag with audio when I would move too fast the block animation would freeze up and the sound would be off but that may not be your fault
Visually appealing! Gameplay is simple as well as controls, great job!
The best game I've played so far this LD # 31. Very good job of level design. I think I might have a level indicator.
Spent a lot of time on this one, brilliant game. Had trouble on the one which was like a grid, there where so many ways to go it was confusing, but thats not a problem. Sweet! :)
Thanks for the feedback guys :D If you get stuck and you want to try out the other levels you could try out the desktop version (requires java). You can run that version with levels from an external folder. I added an example cmd file to launsch and a folder with the existing levels for the game. You remove the levels you can't beat and then start it :D A little readme is provided in the zip package.
I just dont like how the main character is, he just does not fit in the whole thing.
But I LOVE all the categories!
Nice game with great style. The level design is pretty good and the music is pretty closed with the game, which is awesome. Good Job!
Obs. I got stucked at the key level, the goal simply doesn't work.
This is a lovely concept. Would have been better if you could 'fall off' in order to restart when you get stuck though. I didn't realise you could restart by pretting R until I came back and read the instructions. Quality visuals and audio.
Audio really makes the whole mood of the game here, fantastic. For some reason I'm stuck on the level with the key, after opening the door pixels the blue pixel doesn't trigger completion. Apart from that, love it!
I couldn't get past the key level either, the goal doesn't seem to have an icon on it at that level. But the desktop version works. It's quite challenging, well done :)
Hey more feedback. Thanks guys. I'm also not that happy about the player, but all other things would not work out (mind I'm very bad at making graphics or chosing colors).
As for the issue. I followed a hunch and tested the entry in firefox and I had the same issue. Hope I can fix it, but at least I can reproduce it now. I hope I can upload a fix in the next few hours...
Ok, i put up a fix. If any of you could retest I would be very happy (probably have to press CTRL+F5, in case you have the game code already cached).
This is pretty cool, I like the weird music and the colourful visuals, makes for quite a trippy mood. The gameplay reminds me a lot of a game called Sensitive on the C64, which had a similar 'move over falling tiles' concept, so it also had like a bonus nostalgia feeling for me. Pretty cool!
Nice puzzle game! The graphics are pretty nice, so as the animations at the start. Also nice level design. Only respawn could be little faster. Good job
Some great puzzles. Music made me play faster than I needed too.
Good aesthetic. A very simple concept but very well resolved

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
Nice puzzle game. Puzzles are perfect for one-screen-only games, I just needed something "more" to justify the theme.
