Space Cargo

by Skoggy - Compo Entry

In the year 2045
Earth was attacked
They came from nowhere
But we fought back
All seemed lost
Only one person could save us
That person
Was not you
You are a worker at a cargo hold
Your job is to deliver supplies
To the people that are actually important
You are...
The cargo person!

Let me know if it doesn't work :) @erikskogl

The graphics are absolutely beautiful, especially for a LD compo. The gameplay does get a bit tedious, though.

Graphics and GUI is really polished, good job. But gameplay experience actually lack some challenge after you deliver your first or second box. If you tried to show us that cargo guy has boring job, you've succeed. But in that case I will prefer game about shooting the bad guys instead of indefinite cargo delivery.. ;-)

Very nice realisation, but controls are a bit messy.

Beautiful game with the important touch of humor! A tad long way to move the cargo each flight? Fantastic audio as well. A very well made game! Merry Christmas!

Nice one! At first I disliked the steering with the mouse but after a few seconds of play I started to like the challenge of taking away you "hands off the steering wheel" to press the cargo button :)

A fuel mechanic would have been nice. Just like in spacetaxi, so that you don't constantly accelerate with full force...

But all in all a nice game!

Great game! Worked fine without any glitches, transporting that cargo was fun!
I missed WASD controls a bit, they would have fitted here perfectly, also more levels would be great

The gameplay is simple yet annoying until you catch it up, especially the controls. But I like the graphics and music.
Also, the GUI works well and looks good.

Overall, is a good game :)

Great graphics and sound. Gameplay works fine but become boring fast. Sadly, no respect for the theme

Oh boy what a tedious little game. The controls were so annoying, would have loved to be able to use cursors too. Especially playing it on a notebook with a touchpad it was pretty narf.

The graphics were pretty nice, and the UI was pretty polished.

The audio, although nice, but somehow the music got pretty annoying very quickly. Especially as I tried to concentrate to not die.

Which I did often. Man I died and died and died, bumped here, crashed there. So annoying. But a good game indeed. Good job on that.

Really liked the UI. Neat idea and was fun to play. Nice job. :)

Really fun little game, and I love the story line (That person... was not you.). The only thing I would change is that I would make a little bit more of a difficulty curve, or have something change, because it got a little repetitive after about the forth wave.

Very nice graphics! The backgrounds were especially nice. Felt very space-ey. I found the pace at which the drop ship could move to be a bit sluggish. It made the return trips a bit tedious. Nice touch with the opening text. Very funny :)

This game is outstanding! Although repetitive, the music is executed very well. I think I may have played a winner.

@Team Klappermann I was going to have one fixed size screen first. But it was too small to work so I hade to make it larger and add a camera :/

This is an extremely strong entry. While I feel the controls are a tad awkward sometimes, they also make the game sorta difficult, so I think these controls are perfect, as they reflect how difficult it would be for an actual cargo ship in space. The graphics and audio are superb, I'm not sure how you could get this level of both into a Ludum Dare game! There's a surprisingly large amount of polish too, such as the buttons in the menu moving into place rather than being static - it's small, but it really makes the game feel complete. It's really fun, I liked it. Great job!

We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
