Collect as much filthy lucre as you can. Match 3 or more for bonuses. Stand under a ladder (or click on the grappling hook) to climb a row. If you get stuck it's game over, hit refresh and it *should* remember your high score (somewhat untested feature).
Tested in Chrome and Android Chrome, but hopefully other browsers will be OK with it. Seems to be an issue with the audio playing consistently on Android.
Some minor changes post-compo to make it fit on your average phone better and to adjust the difficulty for 9 columns instead of 10.

The ladder mechanic makes this a nice twist on match three. I like it!
That's a nice little mechanic you guys have there. Has that been used anywhere else?
That was really fun! The ladder mechanic is really interesting, and a bit funny how you used snakes to pull you down. Feels like you combined bejeweled with snakes and ladders! I like it, well done!
Interesting game and very nice learning curve! I could see it becoming quite addictive!
Did you just make Snakes and Ladders?
Let me revise that: did you make Snakes and Ladders AWESOME?
I could play this thing for hours.
Great game concept and execution. This would be fun as a mobile game. It's a tricky game, too. I kept making little mistakes, like ascending before was was ready! Excellent work!
Quite a fun game, reminded me of a Bejelewed with a much better-thought gameplay with the ladders and the snakes and the annoying things-with-spikes-on-it.
Wow, thanks for the nice comments guys! Glad you like it.
@Pcholt as far as I know the mechanic hasn't been tried/done before, but yes, it is a shameless mash-up of Bejeweled and Snakes and Ladders.
Worked on my Nexus 5 in Chrome! I was surpised how fun this actually ended up being. I love it! I would strong encourage you to continue to polish it! I think it can be a great game!
Really nice combination of Match 3 and Snakes and Ladders. I like the way the 2 mechanics work together.
Half Match 3, half Snakes and Ladders and entirely addicting, good job! =D
Mouse clicking seems inconsistent. Not all clicks register.
Perhaps I'm unfamiliar with the rules of match three games, but I'm only able to move left and right.
My initial thought was a very unfair "oh, match three", which I took back very quickly. A very interesting take on the idea, so consider me apologetic and impressed
This was a really nice polished game, was quite fun and looks good.
This game was fun! I really like the twist on match three and this would make a great mobile game.
I found this highly addicting.
Does the spider have any other interaction than hurt you?
I couldn't find one, but I liked the snakes' mechanic.
@Gaspard spiders are the buttholes of the dungeon, they serve no purpose but to hurt you
Very nice game :) awesome concept and very well designed game, well done, this game is very addictive :D
Very innovative! The health + ladders + baddies element really mixed up the game genre and made it more tricky! Fun to play :)
This is a cool game. Once I realized I can click anywhere along the row to switch, it made the game much better and more complex. I didn't see any use for the money (maybe buy more hooks?), but I didn't get that far.
Very good game. Well resolved. Original gameplay.
evolution of match3. This is a shame, little dwarf got nothing in fhis match 3 world. No diamonds
Really clever game! It took me a bit to really grasp the game strategically, but there are quite a number of interesting movement options. Very clever design, I enjoyed it a lot.

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
interesting mechanic with the ladders, haven't seen that before
