[WARNING !]
The Web version is a buggy demo version !!! You can quickly try the game with this, but then download and play the real game with the Windows version.
PLEASE DO NOT RATE THE WEB VERSION.
THE GOOD VERSION IS THE WINDOWS VERSION.
_______
One screen. One controller. One weapon.
Take the control of your ship with one half of the controller and pick up the weapon before the other does. It's the only way to kill him!
The first with 5 points win.
| CONTROLS |
The two players share one controller.
Left player:
LB = shoot
Left stick = move
Right player:
RB = shoot
Right stick = move
| INTENTIONS |
In this game, the menu and the game screen are one. That means you can interact with the different settings while playing. The entire game in on the screen – literally.
Also, we wanted to expand the theme even further than just a “game on one screen”. One On One is a two player game but you only have one controller… and one weapon!

This looks great and the music fits well, but I don't have a controller or second person to play with... :(
Lovely game with great graphics/effects and smooth gameplay. Love the music too ;)
Digging the graphics, the music, and the vibe, but alas, no controller or partner to play with. What I saw was sick though!
I played only the beta version, however I see that You made a lot of good work.
The concept is great, I like the one controller idea, great graphics too
Loved it. Art style is nice and really smooth, the game is fun, mostly because of the "shared controller" idea and there's some great replay value. Very good job !
I'm a bit disappointed with the music though.
I enjoyed the look of the game ^^ leaves me with a good feeling. And on overall great game ^^
Very nice! The first game I felt like giving full marks in the theme category for pushing it to something interesting :) Made me wish I had a friend nearby, feels like it could be a lot of glitchy fun.
I love the idea of the game and I think if me and my friend understood more of what's going on, we'd have a great time. But the settings (and how we activate them) were too confusing.
Encountered some bugs on the PC version but was still totally blown away by the graphics. Great work!
This looks great and the music fits well, but I don't have a controller :/
Sorry we couldn't test your game because on apple machine, it doesn't work properly. As far as we could test it , the control were really fluid and it looks good.
Excellent entry, instant favourite! Fits the theme perfectly, great graphics, cool and fluid gameplay, what's not to like? Ok the whole thing with the controls and the gameplay variants randomly (?) activating definitely is a bit confusing, but still. Du super boulot :) Oh and the music partly done by mouth is really fun too ^^
Thank you everyone for your comments. Actually the gameplay variants are not changing "randomly". As you and you're opponent play, every input also affect the background menu (combined players'movements = menu cursor's movement & each time you press the fire button it selects/deselects an option). We had a version of One on One with a visible cursor, but we deleted it since it was too confusing. Hope this will be a little bit clearer now ;) Have fun all
The graphics are awesome as well as the concept. The game was behaving kinda weird to me... maybe it's the intention, but I think I was controlling the menu on the background and suddenly "random" effects happened. But it was fun. Keep working on it! ;)
Super graphics. But no fun to play it. Sorry I missed the concept, like the "Quit" in the menu (I killed the process).
I just played against myself but I like the concept and the way you take the theme...

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
Awesome game! =D
Really fun, love the whole CRT TV effect on the screen. Really awesome stuff.
Epic! =D
