I really loved this game and could tell alot of thought went into it! The only trouble I had was moving the snowballs once they were full size, but maybe I was doing somthing wrong. Great game though!
Cool music and sound effects and mgaeplay! And great idea! Goodjob!
Poor Timmy's family... always killed on the first night
But I had a great time making snow balls! Love the change between day and night: too dramatic. Well done!
I had trouble making snow men my first play through. I love the concept though. Also love that you were able to get a snowman into the game!
I wasn't able to create a snowman even though I had multiple snow balls. I tried just about everything lol.
I'm really stuck trying to build snowmen. I can get a snowball onto a bigger one but then I can't see how to push a third one on top because the green grooves I've left behind are blocking me?
This is a really lovely game! Once I got the hang of it, I got totally lost in it. The wide expanse of snow, details like grass getting covered with fresh snow, and the satisfaction that comes from building the snowmen make this a wonderful experience.
It was hard to figure out just how big the snowballs had to be in order to stack, though. And since grass blocks you from rolling snowballs, you only have a few chances to stack any one snowman. If snowballs could roll over grass, it might be a little more forgiving and help new players get used to the mechanics.
Also, a minor note -- you can pick up a carrot and coals by just tapping up at the start of each day. Maybe you should only be able to get those items after you've stacked 3 snowballs into a snowman.
All in all, I really enjoyed playing this. Thank you for making it and sharing it!
I wish there were some controls. I couldnt build a snow man. I Included it in part 7 of my Ludum Dare 31 compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/bpNoFf0QyBM
Well. Seems like I need to find some food, but sadly nothing is gonna happend :(
Really nice game! It's was just hard to build all these snowmen and stuff. XD
Too hard for me, I tried to do 3 balls but they had to be too small, and then I couldn't make them be big and came to the right place :/ The music is very funny and the graphics are pretty funny :P
It's a neat concept. I find it too easy to mess up building a snowman. It would be nice if I can do something with the snowballs that are too small. Maybe allow the player to pick it up and move it somewhere.
This needs to be expanded into a full game! Addictive like every good tower defense game but a lot more engaging since you have to do the building yourself. A bit hard at first but once you find a system that works for you it's a lot of fun! Love how the snow recovers the paths after a couple of nights.
Game is a bit hard but I like the concept a lot (I enjoyed rolling up snowballs to make snowman). Also I love it how in the day, the music is all happy and christmassy but when night falls, everything becomes all grim and menacing.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
Great, fun game. I love the way that the snow refills the paths after a couple nights. Would love to see a fully polished post-comp game. :)
