You are tasked with the screening of the best subjects for each mission we'll give you. The cause is the cause. The cause is with you, as long as you are with the cause.
You will have to succeed through 5 random missions with random characters in order to reach the final one.
IMPORTANT: If you get a "Failed to download data file" error while loading the game just refresh the page and it should work.
We would've liked to show visually how each subject's stats/skills are used during missions but we didn't have the time. The engine's logic is that at each "mission event" a specific stat with an extra bonus skill (based on the initial mission requirements) will be needed. The live operative with the highest required values will try the feat, and get an additional bonus based on his mood. There are also other elements in play but that's the basis.

UPDATE:
A) The morning after the jam we fixed these 2 bugs:
- Side panel showing wrong text during missions
- If you won a mission with your last 3 subjects you got a game over instead than the correct 3 new subjects
B) The evening after the jam I actually uploaded the previous fix I mentioned, because I previously uploaded it to the wrong FTP :BBB
C) Moved webplayer link to Game Jolt

ah, seems like we had similar thought patterns as far as "screening" goes. Great minds think alike, eh?
An excellent game, by the way, also. Lots of interesting choices to be made. It might have been nice to have the ability to improve subject mood slightly by skipping training, but I imagine that might create an imbalance that I haven't thought of.
This one is really freakin cool
You deserve a top 100 with this one
This is for sure the most innovative and different game I've played so far. It just felt kind of unfair that you couldn't train people up because they would feel bad(or whatever you called it). That's the way the game is though.
This was fantastic! What a great concept, and I loved the art style!
"He is running away! I will stop his car with my body!" *dead*
Solid art and sound make for a great atmosphere. The game's sense of humor adds a lot to the experience. The concept and goal are clear and well presented.
It is a bit arbitrary at first what tests will produce what attribute in your subjects. It's also unclear what chance you have of succeeding with your selected team. These made me feel dis-empowered, as my decisions did not seem to be informed.
This was a very fun concept, and the sound was incredible. I really liked how smooth the graphics were, too. Sadly, you could have worked on the dialogue.
so polished !!!! the game is good to release. For me just too much text but ist great entry
Brilliant game. The game looks really well polished and I love the graphics.
Really nice work. The game idea is awesome and there's humour! =D
I'm in love with everything about this game. Now only is it funny and interesting, it introduces a very interesting mechanic where Your best operatives often times aren't thrown into every mission.
Great idea. Would have been nice if the job briefings would have received their own dedicated space in the interface. Needlessly clunky to have them as sheets in my opinion.
Thanks a lot for the nice words :)
@Anikki I (Daniele) have a thing with papers so I just love having those papers apart. But that's completely based on personal kink and I agree it would be nice to at least have an additional mini-panel with the mission's required stats.
@KudukuForgiveUs I added a little explanation of how the stats work. It's not as simple as I wrote, but those are the basics :P Sadly we didn't have time to add animations that actually showed that stuff happening visually.
@NickMakesGames Loved your game and your concept. Even if I felt terribly stupid because it took me quite a while to understand how it worked :D
i loved this pixel art stile... The theme's choice is very interesting too. Congrats
Nice entry! I really like the graphics & audio.
The gameplay is fine too!
Great graphics and sound. I love the 'screening' idea, you're one of the few that hasn't taken the theme literally, good job on that! (5/5 on the theme for sure!)
Best game I've played this jam! Great graphics, highly polished, and very funny. Amazing work!
I'm getting: Failed to download data file.
Bummer, I wanted to play this.
Ok, the GameJolt version worked fine.
I wish there was more of an overall goal as a motivation. It felt a little aimless.
It looks and sounds excellent though.
Thanks.
Great concept, but a little bit random. I like the music and the mood.
Wow, this is really clever. Great use of the theme. The game was pretty easy to play despite all if the info onscreen. I'd agree with comments that the UI could do with some streamlining, but art and music are great. One of the best games I've played so far.
Great game!
I love the espionage setting and the humor in every description.
Great graphics and the music is just fine, speeding up when field action starts :-)
Very well done! Would like to see these agents in new adventures soon!
Weird, but interesting! I like the idea a lot, even though it's morbid. The graphics are great and the gameplay is smooth. It's quite hard, though...
I loved it! Funny, well thought-out, witty, with beautiful art - great work!
very well done, difficult to see how to keep playing past the first couple missions as I keep failing them without knowing why.
i like everything about this game - with a few more elements it could be a great game
That was fantastic! Really liked the idea and the gameplay, also the visuals and audio were great, and the humor even more so. One of the best games I played this LD, amazing job!
Thanks for all the comments :) We are preparing the design to develop it into a full game, with a kinda complicated story and a lot more stuff to do (but still focusing the game on a screening process).

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
WOW amazing graphics and sound, and the idea great!
