Temple Swapper ! Made by the Eggz !
The goal is to kill as many spiders as possible by teleporting objects right on their face!
Edit: minor typo's bugs fix that was messing with objects colliders when swapping.
Controls:
WASD/Arrows to move
Mouse to aim
Left-click to use your swapper!
To swap position with an object :
Hold Down the mouse button to charge up on objets to swap position with them ! If you time your swap correctly, you should be able to squash the spider! Too bad spider blood tends to attract more of them...
Note: If you restart the game, you will need to warp one object first in order to spawn the first spider: we tried to prevent that but time has run short on us !
Note 2: If you're stuck in the Game Over screen, try to aim and swap, the game over screen will disappear !

What's new :
-Bug fix for spiders turning 180 degrees and not following you when they spawn.
- Bug fix for getting stuck in the Game Over screen.
-Added a tutorial for those who don’t want to read the entry description.
-Added a few visuals and visual effects for more understanding and juiciness !
-Objects have been replaced at their original position at each restarts.
-The spider will now react and attack if you get to close to her.
-(*new*) Charging a swap is now quicker !
-Finally : A target will be displayed on the ground when starting the swapping action . This is where the object will swap.

Pretty cool game, but I found it pretty hard to get more than 3 as a score... Didn't really like the idea, but it was well executed and is a cool end product
This is a toughie! That spider is so fast, by the time I tempt it it's already eating me.
Nicely done. Music sets the mood well. Pretty difficult though. Well done.
I just really have to point out how awesome the soundtrack is. I just love it! The game is a little hard to get used to at first, but it gradually becomes more and more fun! Graphics were pretty mediocre for player and enemies but the objects looked good. I like how this is a completely original idea that I doubt has been used by anyone else at all. Overall, it's a fun game once you get used to it but requires a better hook. Of course I understand how you may not have been able to implement this due to time constraints but it's just something to keep in mind for future games or even this one if you plan to continue working on it!
Super cool musique! Le concept est effectivement super intéressant, mais très difficile à exécuter. Good jam!
nice idea, but in the end the mechanic is not working very well... at least in this state
Very hard game... it took me ages until I get one point of score :D But it looks very good and the music is also great!
I liked to teleport things ^^ Only took me a while to figure out what I had to do. I really liked the concept of the game ^^
That's pretty creative idea and well executed. maybe some collisions could be improved, but nice and solid entry.
Very nice concept! Good music and graphics.
Gameplay is good but hard. Maybe next time make the rocks bigger than the guy(3x3 squares?), so you can keep a bit more distance when you swap.
Very well done!!!
Thanks all for the feedbacks ! It's very appreciated since it's our first LD ever !
Haven't ever played a game with an idea like this. It's so cool. Really fun.
Nice game! I love the moment when I want to tp smth but bug turn me into a bloody puddle
Pretty tricky game. I'd love to see this expanded to a full adventure game and not just squashing spiders!
Interesting concept! It would be cool if there was a bit more perspective in the Z direction. Opening cinematic was cool as well.
Really original concept gameplay wise, the graphics are quite nice too ^^ and the music is just pure NES goodness.
Great job guys, if it weren't for this LD's theme it has good potential to be more than a one screen game :)
I really like the idea, but the way it is, is not working.
Maybe if the object swap to the position where I started the swapping action
Great work anyway! =D
Nice concept, pretty hard in practice. I think it could be improved in a platformer with physics. Good job.
@Kuppu Very good suggestion actually ^^ I might try to implement it in a post-LD version ;) Thanks !
Mechanic is quite complex at an entry level, but love the graphics and audio!
Woaaah nice game!
The pixel art is nice and the music perfectly fit in the theme!
Well done!
Nice game, I really like the art style and the music. The swapping mechanic is pretty interesting, but I would love to see the charge sped up a bit to make the game a bit more frantic. Maybe evening switching items with other items instead of just switching the player with items. Well done.
I like this innovative mechanics, and graphics are cute too =)
Awesome, i really love the concept of the game. The first version of the game the mechanics were a bit hard because you had to get right near the spider to kill it. It was a very tricky task to achieve. However i see that you've made vast improvements in your newer version. The mechanics are much better! and the game is much more enjoyable ahaha I wasn't able to go far but I sure did have a blast with this entry nice game!
very original game, and challenging, the charger should be quicker or the spiders should be slower, well done
I loved mechanic, but I didn't like it in the context for combat. I think the gameplay needs more exploration.
@Omiya Games Thanks ! And yeah, me too. I would maybe like to extend that mechanic for a puzzle-adventure type of game ;) Glad we think the same !

You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
Very interesting but hard in a good way. Good Job
