War on Cutetopia takes place in a world overrun by cute things. You, one of the few remaining survivors, must bring a ship filled with Anti-Cute bombs to Cutetopia, the center of the now cute world. Dribbles the Whale, the great cute overlord, will send wave upon wave of cute enemies in an attempt to stop you. For the sake of a mankind that isn't cute, you must persevere.

The game is fun. The wave could be a bit shorter (especially the second one, that I did not finish). I like to kill little cute things, but the game was a bit too easy, because you could just spam the entrance of the cannon. Double jump seems more to be infinite jumps, but it did not break the game so it is all right. Music was kind of repetitive, but the loop is long enough not to be horrible. Sound effects on the contrary was annoying after a moment.
TLDR: Funny game, for sure.
Here is my playthrough:

Very cute graphics and nice idea. I'd like to see the controls to be smoothed over and more elements to the gameplay one day.

I kept falling through the floor, but that wasn't really a big deal. As for the gameplay, it was...unforgettable for lack of a better word. The various graphics styles seemed to clash a bit, however.

Interesting entry, I would suggest coordinating a bit your efforts, pondering the theme a bit more. Good luck!

Whoa, menus! Don't often see people bother with those in LD :D.

The bunny bombs are excellent: adorable and very well animated! I never really got tired of seeing that rainbow-drooling whale sitting on the lollipop island in front of me, either. The music was great in a funky, noisy vidya gamey sorta way.

The actual gameplay is very simple and could definitely use more work, but overall this was very nice. Well done!

It's fun, but too easy and long at the same time. Cute graphics

Very nice graphics, probabaly the craziest entry I've played so far : ) Would be nice to have a bit more variety in terms of enemies and weapons. Also the difficulty curve is a bit low. Well done though!

Hahaha, that was a fun time. I played many waves but never got to kill that smiling whale in the distance! Can I get there if I play long enough?

It took me a bit to figure out that I could kill the cats with cannons, since shooting at them from the ship doesn't cut it. I didn't realize I had double jump right away.

The gibs from the exploding cutsies was an awesome touch!

Nice work.

interesting but it woudl have been more fun with increasing difficulty. The island scroll + sea was erh... unique :)

Neat game concept! I liked the theming you used for the game. The level looks a little bit like something from F-Zero or the like; I especially like the model for the spacecraft. Pretty much any other comment I might have has been made by someone else, but I think that your SFX would have been less annoying if they'd been tuned a bit quieter relative to the background music. Another trick is recording multiple samples for things like the jumping noise and then choosing one randomly every time the player jumps. Blood explosions were a nice touch. Thanks for the game!

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
