Hi Biliogadafr,
thanks for your feedback. You probably encountered a gamebreaking bug, that's why you couldn't finish the game. I'm currently patching them up and I will upload a new Version tonight.
I released the bug fixed version. I hope I've squished all those pesky bugs.
Btw the "spiders" are supposed to be wooden logs :D
Pretty cool but the sad thing is there are no spiders :(
The amnesia aspect is interesting. The darkness and changing layout makes you really not sure what is what. Good job.
The controls on this game make it nearly unplayable for me. WASD should never be linked to the direction your character is facing. When I press W I want to to towards the top of the screen, not "forward" in relation to the character. I just gave up because I couldn't move in a way that made sense.
I really like the idea behind forgetting the dark rooms, but the player can immediately light them up, so that mechanic never really plays a major part in the game (at least I didn't notice). It would be cool if the some torches would suddenly stop for whatever reason and the make the room dark again.
Very clever interpretation of the theme. Controls are awkward but it was easy once i worked out that spamming a direction let me walk around really fast ;)
Nice concept with the rooms also nice lightning effect. And I liked the small humour in the dialogue ^^
Cool idea! Too bad you didn't have time left for the spiders, could've been interesting! Cool mood. The footsteps work really well (:
Forgetting the rooms and lighting them is a very nice mechanic, good job!
@Headmade: thanks for the comments on my entry.. yeah.. we really used the same kind of technology here.. :)
But you had a story so you win ;)
Great use of the theme, really cool idea. Would love to see the game expanded on a bit in the future.
Omfg... this game looks brilliant... Wow... I need to know how! xD This is amazing and the gameplay is not shy itself. Great work! cx
The solution to keeping everything on one screen with the amnesia is interesting. However, the controls make this difficult to play.
Very atmospheric. The lack of music made it quite eery, and I really liked the way you used light.
Nice game, I like the "amnesia" thing and the lighting too!
The concept is really good, but I didn't find any challenge at all? I think I had to meet some spiders, but they didn't appear
Cool game :p
really enjoyed the atmosphere and the constant room random regeneration. And to paraphrase everyone again, the lighting is really brilliant !
I Won! Nice effect. The controls were a little off putting (I had to keep tapping forward to go), but other than that, I think you have something good that should be built on.
What's that sound! The sound of someone who ran out of time? The dialogue is fantastic. I also like the ambiance that the lighting provides. It took me a little while to figure out how to walk around, though.
It was really easy, though random map generation, when the lights are out, is interesting.
The controls are really weird, somehow A and D always go West and East, but W and S always go forward and backward the direction I'm facing. (also one has to constantly tap them, and can't just hold them down).
After getting used to the controls (just constantly pressing W), I found the concept really interesting, but you seem to have run out of time for a lot of things, because there sadly wasn't any chance for the amnesia-mechanic to come into play outside of the first two rooms.
Would have really loved to see, where you could have gone with this.
The graphics are nice and once you get used to the odd controls it's pretty fun, but yeah if only spiders.
Haha, that "out of time" line. :D Beautiful lighting, very atmospheric game despite the lack of ambient sound or music. And a pretty innovative approach as well. Controls were a bit weird and I was really looking forward to those spiders, but you achieved a pretty good result nonetheless!
Lighting was awesome but the controls were very awkward, I enjoyed the exploration but it did all feel a bit pointless in the end. Great work given the time limit though!

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
What should I do? I lit all spiders and nothing happens. Just walking around the rooms and trying to find out what to do. Sometimes spiders block the way out. But I like the idea of level that is randomly re-generated behind your back. Also light effects looks great.
