The lighting looks cool but the initial setting of ambient light is too low, I didn't know where to go. I also didn't know you could change it in the options. Maybe you should try changing the initial ambient light?
Great looking game, although the lighting made it quite hard to see some of the platforms.
Nice. Controls feel good and it's not pain to move around and shoot at all. Also the graphic style is polished and it looks good. But two things: some kind of checkpoints would be nice and it freezes sometimes (without exception, numbers keep going in terminal)! Then the game has to be restarted... Good job anyway :-)
It's nice!
I couldn't defeat the boss because the game is a bit hard (but I liked that) and mostly because I didn't know really if I was hurting him, there's no visual feedback or health bar, so I didn't know and quit after dying several times against him.
Audio is simple but nice and fits the game.
Maybe it could be more in relation with the theme? The options are in the game, and the scrolling is coming back when the player die, so the screen doesnt change, but.. Well it's hard to be really in the theme with this one.^^
Had fun anyway :)
Solid controls. The style obscures the platforming a bit too much for my liking.
Good music and audio. I think the main screenshot you chose undersells how good the game looks. The jetpack was hard to slow down. Good work.
The only gripe I have is that it doesn't seem to fit the theme in some way but I do like the lighting effects and the general gameplay mechanics seem pretty solid. Not bad for your first entry I say.
The game is pretty tough and for whatever reason I couldn't adjust the screen size or brightness on my Mac.
Nice effects. Keep working on it!
Solid game, very fun. Liked the control scheme. Found the jetpack very hard to use right.
Amazing effects, especially for pure java, but I don't see how the game connects to the theme. Also the options didn't work on my computer, but I don't know if that was just my computer
I really dig the visual style. Gameplay works well until the jetpack... which is really hard, as there is no way to practice it. A checkpoint there would have really helped.
The audio, well, turns out I spent the last few hours messing around with FL Studio so it all sounds quite similar :D but it still adds something to the game. I guess if there were checkpoints, the game would be almost flawless - definitely among the better ones.

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
Two seconds after submitting I notice I missed spelled options :P
