Fire Tactics

by MechanicMoon - Jam Entry

Welcome to the amazing world of firefighters. In this game you will have to fight doing a lot of team work.

This building needs you and your team. You are three of the best firemen of the Ludum World.. and this is your opportunity to prove it. The flat is full of fire bombs, that will activate by time.. or random.. how much time will you survive?

Features:
- Real Time Control: You must select your firemen and try to stop the fire in the building.
- Three characters to control.
- Meanwhile you control one of the fireman you can use the other two as torrets, with automatic attacks.
- Waves and waves of enemies (fire, what did you wait?)
- The game is really hard. Try to concentrate and fight!

Tips: Use 1,2,3 to change the controlled character!

Nice entry. A little bit difficult but when you understand the control, it's pretty good. I had fun!

Very nice idea. I found that sometimes the fire wouldn't go out no matter how much water I sprayed at it.

Loved the concept, and the graphics.

Really like this concept and it works pretty well having to manage multiple controllable characters. Nice graphics too. Good work!

Hi! I agree, the controls are a bit confusing at the beginning, but I liked the idea. Quite hard also :P

The game stutters for me when there's a lot of action going on. It's a bit confusing at first, but becomes much more dynamic when you get the hang of it. Well done.

Thanks for the commments. I began the development of the game Sunday Afternoon, and I tried to give my best to finish it. Maybe with a better (and more graphical) tutorial and a better curve of difficult, the game would be more enjoyable. Thanks again for the feedback!!

I felt the controls could have been better but overall a fun and nice looking game. Well done.

Fun little fireman game, Glad you had the time to put in a tutorial, I would have been lost without it

A lot of clever concepts here. This has potential. It could use more feedback on your guys getting hurt, more of an end goal and slightly more easy to use controls. Was pretty fun. Good job.

Hey, very great entry. The art looks very nice and the game idea is very special. I like the game mechanics, but the game is too hard for me (at least on the desktop, I could imagine that the game works much better with a touch device). Probably you could provide an easier difficulty level, where the fires don't spread as fast.

Cool game. With some more polish I would even pay a Dollar or so on the Play Store. Good work!

Nice concept, but at last is some repetitive. Good graphics.

I think this has the potential to be a really great game. Something that I would definitely play. It's very impressive that you got it this polished in such a short time. The graphics are great. I think the gameplay just needs some tweeking.

It is a little confusing that new fires fire up in the middle of the game, but oh well.

It could be better visually, but it does the job. Audio is a bit too repetitive, but it's a jam game, so it's to be expected.

It's a fun idea, it's not often that you see a fire fighting game, and it's fun to play, too.

I liked the graphics and idea. And really good idea with putting tutorial so player can know how to play a game (a lot of people including myself forget to put obvious stuff like this in games ;)) I would just maybe replace music with some rocking chiptune :D

Aside from the controls, the art and concept were great. Maybe make the path a brighter blue and stick out more from the rest.

Nice original idea! However, is you gather the firemen at the same spot the challenge isn't very high. Cool entry anyway!

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
