Faster than MMO

by Digital Night Studio - Jam Entry

Minimalistic game made to be a prototype of circle-based

RMB to shoot, WASD to move.

1. If you shoot you loose health points.
2. When your missile hits an opponent you get the amount of health he lost.
3. Your size is directly proportional to your damge you do.
4. When you kill you will cause more damage.
5. When you die you will cause less damage.

Players limit is set for 20, but I will try to rise it up.
Authoritative server is placed in Europe, so people from another continets may have high pings.

Windows (desktop) client has lower latency :P

Made by Łukasz Nizik

Special thanks to Vescom ( for providing the server.

Good concept. But the controls are a bit rigid and the bullet to slow. I like the fact that you can play in multiplayer

Dec 9, 2014 @ 12:54am

There is actually a compromise. When bullets are faster it is impossible to have fun in more than 2 players :D Thanks for playing.

nice mechanics

Thanks. I would like to see 20 players at once :D

Good design. Its hard to hit someone but when its getting crowded, fun to play

Nice idea, as all the people said, it would be nice to see more people playing. Great work!

The idea is really neat but sometimes when I spawn my character is forced to move upward against my will and I get stuck in the wall.

Great idea - didn't have anyone to play with though :(

Dec 9, 2014 @ 2:06am

You just have to press and up WASD. It happens even in World of Warcraft due to authoritative server architecture.

Hm, I like the idea but there was nobody to actually play it with. I'll have to check back later.

Usually if you wanna do multiplayer for LD, it's a good idea to have bots. That way more people can play and rate your game.

I don't have middle mouse button to spawn because I use touchpad instead of mouse :/.

I'm just stuck in the world, with no one to play with. :'( I could not experience the action.
Some good ideas would have been to have robots as well, moving around as players, just a different colour, so users could have gotten the same feel of the game when there are no more people online. :)
Still a good game, just one I could not experience.
I'll rate high, since I'm gonna check back more than once before judging ends to look for players again! :D

I like the idea, but sadly noone was around to play with when I tried. So I kinda feel I won't be able to rate you fairly, and as such I won't. I might check in again at a later time, and try again :-)

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
