Awh man. I love the concept and the polish. It is really well done, and looked really finished. It took me awhile to see that it isn't complete. Can imagine it being great with some objectives. Mood graphics and music are fantastic. Very confused how to rate the game since it is so close to perfect but isn't technically anything because it is incomplete.

I really love the music, it's catchy and silly (In the right way). It's a shame that this isn't finished, because what is there is very polished. I can understand though, 48 hours is not very much time so it can be hard to finish something under such tight time constraints. I really love the graphical style, general aesthetics and gunplay; Just wish it was a finished game. Regardless, nice job :)

I noticed the effects in the game freaks out if the game runs without v-sync, so, use v-sync (in your gfx-driver settings) until I fix it in some eventual future update.

Has an old arcade feel to it. The graphics are nice and I see some potential here. Good job, even if it's unfinished.

Very cool idea! With the soldiers moving in a line and you trying to dodge the eel with your growing "conga line" it felt a bit like the old classic "snake". The shooting effect is awesome too. It's a bit of a shame that the soldiers shoot themselves so easily even when moving in a straight line. firing a full broadside with your conga line of soldiers and pushing the eel off-screen would be pretty cool. :) I'd love to see a post-compo version with some tweaks and win conditions.

Slick game. The particles makes sooting super satysfiing. The mechanic is cool - I would love to play the finished version :)

Decent music, could use sfx. The idea is really interesting too bad you didn't have time to add in win conditions. I love the artwork, self killing and strategy in picking up all your downed guys. The particles/gunfire look awesome when you have a ton of guys.

Do finish this! Maybe even explore something that isn't just locked to one screen? The mechanic is super cool. Feel free to send me a msg on twitter and I'd be happy to give feedback on a finished version @Crefossus.

Hey ! You get a really nive concept ! A sort of snake game mixed with a classical shooter. Too bad that you don't finish it.
The music is a bit creepy ...

The enemy, the Eel, was a last minute resort. I had planned lots of smaller enemies, maybe even human counter forces and interactive level design. But ya know, time and excuses. I will tidy up the code and see if I can get a better version soon.

Now I'm disappointed. You were one health bar away from finishing it ! The graphics + collisions + Fx works very well, it's a pity to not take 1-2h to put a gameplay + win condition on it.
Maybe your core idea for the game was bigger than that and unreachable in 48h. But a simple version of the game was totally possible to achieve.

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
