by borgi - Jam Entry

Hello there fellas!

This is my second attempt to LD! This time I did my game alone and I only had like 8 hours to work on it, so the menus and the graphics might not be that good, but I still enjoyed making it. I hope you will like it too, because it is super FUN! :D ;-) Brutal intense gameplay.
There are multiple ways to end this game, try to find them all!
I do not want to tell you anything more about it, just try it if you want! Thanks!

Any suggestion and cc are welcomed here! Even anonymously! :D

kind of fun, it would be better if there would be a few more things that could kill you, like one out of every ten times you go to the casino, a crazy drunk robber kills you, and also, it would be more fun if you had checkpoints, like day 10, day 15, something like that

Thak you for the tips! I forgot to implement a way to die. Now I updated the game, it is in and I have fixed some bugs also.

Really great art.

Not so great everything else. :/

Really really slow and the window size is too small to really tell what is going on.

Nailed the theme.

Hope you had a fun jam! I was not crazy about the game, got run over by a car a few times and did nothing but collect coins for a few minutes, but others might like it more than I did.

Extremely slow gameplay, you don't really do much. Walking back and forth while the only thing I have to look out for was not getting hit by a car was kinda boring. The window size is also VERY tiny.

I keep getting run over! I like the town on one screen - the drawings are pretty cool.

Some hardcore here. The gameplay is veeeeery long, at least for me, well done! :) Respect! Theme 120%!

Thanks for the comments guys! Let's say this game is a MSO - Massive Singleplayer Online game. :)

Nice implementation of the theme, really liked the idea of having to repeat some actions to advance in the game.
My main suggestion would be for the game to be faster though, be it in character move speed or overall progression.

I love the art and the idea, but it's just too slow! If the character could move faster I think that this would be a much more enjoyable game.

I don't get it. Against my better judgement, I finally got the A+ education, and all it got me was a few more coins at the "work" area. The only endings to the game I can find anywhere are death. Cruel commentary?

Cool concept; would love to see some ideas expanded on. The "zoomed out view of a city" perspective seems like an interesting mechanic that could be used to do some neat theme tricks.

Thank you guys for all the suggestions! I hope you liked it!
Justin: Yes, - to die - that might be a possible end to this game, are there other ways? :)

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
