One Screen Game with Enchant

by belstras - Jam Entry

My first try with an html engine, atleast my first proper try. Controls are drag over screen.

Edit: Unfortunately its download only cause I didn't take the time to get a webhost in time. Sorry :/

Just a heads up, you can actually host web games from the Public folder in Dropbox. I noticed your download was from Dropbox, so I figured I'd mention it. :)

Thanks, I found out dropbox offers public folders currently for pro-users. Don't have that. What happened to the days of free webhosting like geocities and such? sigh..

A little tips, use this site : ) it's good for hosting!

Another one is gamejolt.

I tried that Sinistra. Right off the list off suggestions. They are not compatible with the engine I'm using. I'ts just a shitty policy of dropbox and google to fuck people over because they want more cashflow by removing functionality, to force people buy their pro accounts. Fuck that.

Hi there. Not rated yet as Web link doesn't play in browser.

Hi/ thanks for comments. And sorry to hear that. Im trying to find an alternative to zip archives.
@Rothens, thanks, the win/lose condition is to get as many squares before the timer goes to 0, which should be a half-minute.
@Jovoc, Must be that some assets are requested from another server, ill check that out.

@ Jupiter_Hadley thanks for including my game, made my day!
@pht59x Ah thats weird, the 9leap link should work on the website. Although the Web link is for download only, i hope the website version is sufficient for playing.

A bit confusing at first. I assumed I had to just collect the glittering stars? I really like the audio and the atmosphere felt appropriately magical.

Yep I thought of having more logical gameplay with enemies or something easy like hide and seek.
I'm really glad you liked the music Ossi and atmosphere. Thank you!

I don't get it. What am I supposed to do? =D I get a different highscore every time, but I'm not sure how I can affect it. But nice music. Try next time for hosting, it is very simple to set up.

Hey, I thought this was pretty cool. I feel like I'm missing something though, the game kinda just randomly ended and weird diamonds appeared. I think it could be pretty good with a little more work; good job so far! :)

Thanks for the feedback on my game. It is very basic gameplay wise and needs more work. Happy that my style is somewhat interesting. And i didn't expect to get comments on the music makes me extra glad. Well glad I joined and wish ya a happy new year!

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
