So I wanted to do a story about a cop killing batman.
But first thing I thought was NO WAY could a cop kill batman. Batman is invincible and can fly (or so I thought).
But my partner said he's actually a mutant who lives in a wheelchair. Sometimes he gets up using his powers (spider shots), and that's when you can kill him.
So I think that this story will not offend the comic geeks too much? Let me know if I drew Batman wrong.
(TW: references to violence, police brutality)

Nice! It's pretty rare to see story based games like this anymore
Funny story! Ahhhh... I had so many good times playing RPG games...
Love the little jazzy tune in the background!
I got a few endings and found a bug: you can go on with the text without choosing an option...
Funny entry!
Gaspard_, thanks for the bug report! I'll see if I can fix it :D
Loved it. =D
Nice little game. Didn't think I'd get that much fun from a graphical text adventure game.
hahaha, I love the bulletproof conversation. Nice story, not much of a game but nice.
HAHHAHA god, I wasn't expecting nothing like this. Very different and innovative, great little game! Nice job.
The music is perfect! The writing is good and I love the characters.
Most random game yet. :) (In reply to your comment on my game btw, I did the music by just busting out the guitar and playing around until I got something vaguely okay, sequenced up some bass and drums... job done!.. honestly sounds like you went to far more trouble and were far more creative with your music!)
You got lots of content in your game. Both conversations but also matching pictures combined with the music creating a nice atmosphere.
I really enjoyed playing this one, good work. I found 3 of the endings.
Haha, love the writing and art. I put Batman in a chokehold :D Very cool entry!
Original and creative. The characters and the story are reinforced really well by the visuals!
I do like how expressive the character images were. I got a few of the endings. It was interesting to see the different responses. I did notice the bottom of letters like 'y' and 'g' got cut off a bit.
*Cruel End* Oh. Whoops. But seriously, who doesn't want to fight Batman?
Anyway, funny game! I enjoyed the art style and quiet background music, and the dialogue was well written. Good work!
I enjoyed your game/story and the writing really had me chuckling some time. I think it was pretty good! You did a good job fleshing out the characters.
There's one thing however, I'd really like to address. The font. It might be just a personal preference or whatever but I suggest picking a different font for text-heavy games.
Still, good job!
Haha, this is really original and irreverent. Certainly one of the more unique games I've played here. Nice job!
The strangest story-based game I've played so far:) like the ambient though.
Cute and funny game! I Included it in part 17 of my Ludum Dare 31 compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/fGRz-9CpOIg

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
well done, it's fun, did it several times to find the different endings
