Bullet Hell

by dkkarate - Compo Entry

WASD to move;
Control the crosshair with the cursor.

there are four waves. There is nothing that tells you that you've won but if no more enemies are spawning then you've won. At wave four the turrets will turn on and auto fire at the player. There is a chance that enemies will drop power ups. You can only have 1 power up at a time.

Can you beat the game?

This game is fun until it becomes impossible.

Yah. If I had more time I would have added more levels and would have been able to do more playtesting.

Nice particles effect on killing enemies.

Fun little game. Making the spawns random would have been nice, though. Right now, it's too easy to spawn kill the enemies.

love the graphism. First three waves are super easy, last is near impossible, i tried way too much... really a nice game

Suddenly bullets out of nowhere.
Cool though, should have had sound effects

Game starts very easily, almost too easy and becomes hell without announcing it to the player. I found it a bit confusing, like I was missing some cues to be able to succeed at the challenges the game was bringing upon me. The presentation also needs some work. I'm not very sure that background works well with the bright, neon-like characters. I'm pretty sure you can work out an alternative quite easily.

Controls felt good, the waves were a little bit of a difficulty jump, and (this might just be me) but there didn't seem to be a way to easily re-start the game after I'd died.

Hi there. Nice movement. Suggest 'click to start' popup or something to force mouse capture at start. When you die the game just keeps going, no escape option. The turrets are way too powerful, quarter their bullet speed or something... Shame no sounds. Good job overall!

Really liked how the background emphasized the "Hell" in "Bullet Hell". Like others, would have liked a bit of audio and a little less of a difficulty jump! Those turrets are hard to avoid!

It was a fun to game to play. I did enjoy it while I could play it. However, once I got passed the second wave it stopped allowing me to shoot. Now that could be just the result of my track pad. But none the less the game was fun to play.

Dificulty increases waaay to fast. Movement lag makes this game very hard.

It was very casual and relaxing and cool at first with some random enemies passing by and then it was all suddenly like BANG BANG BULLETS and I died. I mean, I could use some warning before being blown to bits, if you know what I mean

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
