Mr. Spooky's Monster Hunt

Mr. Spooky's Monster Hunt is an arcade-shooter where you play as Mr. Spooky and try to kill as many monsters as you can before you die. Use your rapid-fire shotgun and bombs to destroy the horde of monsters.

(I ran out of time, so I had to drop some features and simplify some concepts.)

My first game I tested so hard to compare to other games yet. Many small things that suprice me positive: e.g. Gunupgrade. Game have all elements that game needs :)

really good fun. Nice execution although I think it might have been smoother to have a single fire button and just allow the player to fire in their facing direction. Hold fire to strafe etc. Excellent entry tho, well done.

Great little game to play and try to get a high score i loved it all but the only thing i couldn't quite get the hang of was the controls they just felt weird but i think that might just be me

Clearly not your first entry. Enjoyable arcade shooter. Hitting enemies feels very satisfying. But it lacks innovation.

Very good game! Graphics is nice and gameplay fun, I'd only wish if the screen width could be larger. The player needs more space.

The way to change the direction of your shots was interesting and a bit tricky to learn at first but it's a clever way of adding a bit of challenge to a relatively simple concept. What can I say, it's a shooter that controls well and looks and sounds alright too. Good job!

A fun little game! The visuals and sound are pretty good, and very fitting for the game. The gameplay's pretty solid too, although I do feel that the fire buttons could be on either side of the bomb button, or perhaps you should auto-strafe when firing. Either way, well done; it's a good effort!

Please do not use Z in your controls, as there are (german and other) keyboard layouts that will make the game unnecessarily difficult to play ;-)

Adorable game. Screen is a bit too small, I keep running into enemies while taking out another before I even see them. But it feels like a well polished game. Very enjoyable!

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep.
