you have entered a lift on the bottom level of a tower.
you must battle your way to the top!
unfortunately, the floors aren't all directly connected...
-----DESCRIPTION-----
this game has many roguelike elements- the level layouts, loot, and enemies are randomly generated each run.
on the top floor, one of four bosses can spawn, each which has an alternate, more difficult mode.
also- don't worry! the tower does not reset itself when you'll die.
-----OBJECTIVE-----
find your way to the top level of the tower and defeat the boss.
-----CONTROLS-----
LEFT / RIGHT - move
UP - jump
A / D - attack
DOWN - interact
+/- controls volume
-----HINTS-----
- the best way to kill most enemies is to bounce on their heads.
- chests and buttons will become available once all of the enemies in the room have been defeated
- use the map on the side to see which floor you're on.
- there will always a shop in each run. it's marked on your map!
- there is always a path to the top! make sure you've tried every route
-----CHANGELOG-----
12/9/14
- fixed a bug where gold balance would not persist between runs or reloads
- fixed a bug where many of the enemy or ally types would never spawn

The simple graphics work so well with the gameplay. Also like the way you've added difficulty to jumping on enemies heads by having other enemies above you at times. Nice entry.
I wish there was less wait time between deaths. Otherwise, nice game!
I like the visual style and music. I couldn't figure out what to do in the 2nd room though (I couldn't get those guys on the ceiling??)
nice work, its not just show good design skills (both aesthetically and gameplay) it is also an example of the thing you should look for in a two days jam
it does not feel like one screen though
Great and enjoyable! My companions killed the boss after I died :D
Fun game with a cool exploration mechanic and good audio as well. You stated that there were four bosses; however, after defeating the first, the game would not let me progress much further. I would also like to state that the game is very generous with power-ups, so I ended up with 8 helpers by the end which did make most enemies very easy.
Yeah! Finish it! :D
It's a really nice game, I enjoyed playing it.
Good Job!
At first I thought it was impossible, but I was just unlucky and had to refresh :) Yay sandwich! Good example of minimal but effective art!
The simple graphics fits this game. Simple and fun. That elevator was kinda tricky though :D
Solid work! Was playing this for around 10 minutes or more. So you can say you kept me interested for that amount of time. Which is impressive considering it being a ludum dare project! Your controls were nice, and I really like when the attention to the feels of the controller are given a priority. It's a lot more fun playing around with mindless action(violence) in that way, haha. Good job!
I liked this one. It was mindless, but it was fun. I liked the helper drone upgrade things that you got, it was an interesting alternative to the classic stat bonuses, and really changed the way you played depending on which ones you got. I was a little disappointed after beating it the second time, I thought it was going to keep a running tally and give me something when I got to 100, but alas, just a one-shot. Either way, still fun.
Nice! Really enjoyed it. I seemed to need 8 coins to buy the 7-coin object but it's possible I didn't buy it right the first time. Also, I could move past the obstacle in the first level by moving in front of the door after I died, but that's after I've done it once so it doesn't allow me to skip learning controls.
Funny hard game!
I like how you combined the level loading with the theme!
That was one of the funnest entries I've played this LD. The control scheme was simple and effective. The square graphics were crude, but the colors blended nicely together, and along with the music, created a playful atmosphere.
One suggestion would be to make some enemies that only the player can defeat. After getting a few helpers, it ended up being safer and easier to just avoid projectiles and let the helpers attack the enemy.
Others mentioned that they had difficulty beating levels, but I managed to beat it on my first try. I may have gotten lucky, but the difficulty felt good to me. I appreciate the random generation, and multiple bosses. I plan on playing a few more times.
That was really neat. Liked the 8 bit graphics and music
Love the chill upbeat music and the elevator mechanic, I think it fits with the theme well. The controls are perfect, and you don't always see LD games with controls this good! Awesome job overall!
Oh and thanks for making it so we don't have to restart the whole game if you die :)
Really surprising good mood.
The difficulty is strange (I had a third room really hard, and after only cool rooms), maybe because random levels, but in this case, it should be possible to take an elevator to escape an hard room and come back later...?
Audio is great, controls are smooth. Use of the theme is good with the elevator-esque transition. The attacks are a little odd though, so sometimes you just don't feel like you're ever hitting anything. Fun game.
Had a gread overall "feeling" even thoug the controls were clunky
not exactly sure what i just did but I had a lot of fun figuring it out!

We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
Audio is cool
Nice graphics
