PoQA Games+ presents... Modern Dwarfare!
Prepare yourself for an epic adventure defending against the forces of evil in this new twist of classic tower defense. As the last warrior of the Barrelforge clan, Furry Beard-coin is the final bastion of the Dwarves, and the first in a new modern era of Dwarfare.
Create Gun Towers and Cannons to defend the Beard-coin home against impending waves of Orcs and Ogres, and see if you can prove yourself not only to your clan...but to yourself...
Furry Beard-coin - “You can run...you’ll just die tired…”
Have fun!

Got a bit laggy near the end, but otherwise very enjoyable and challenging!
I like the idea of player as a defender. Nice graphics+audio.
Is it possible to win this game?
The entire map was visible before I died. Also, I really like how you used fog of war to the theme.
I wasn't able to beat it, but this was fun - I find that I usually enjoy tower defense those few times when there is direct avatar control. It makes it more manageable. I definitely would enjoy some new tower mechanics, I felt pretty limited by my choices in this demo. I'm also bad at tower defense, so I may have just wanted it to be easier, haha.
Nice graphics and audio... I like the concept! Pretty fun to play!
Tower repair would have been appreciated, but a nice concept with the map slowly expanding and the number of enemies to control gradually increasing, better than standard tower defense wave size increases with the multiple paths :)
Fun tower defense game, like the expanding-ness of it. Nice music and graphics
I really liked how the map expanded as you went along (although I was confused as to why I couldn't move to explore the fog of war at first, maybe some barriers that lift as the map expands?) The main character's attack animation could definitely be snappier and happen sooner after clicking. Also could use some more ways to spend your money. Nice job overall! That red panda tail is mesmerizing!
I like how game has progression by revealing fog of war and new spawning holes.
Very nice, polished game. I particularly like that the dwarf is invincible. Unfortunately he really needs a diet because he walks SLOWLY.
I finished it even though I don't like tower defense games in general, so there must be something there. I enjoyed the music too!
Your game is really cool !
Even if I'm not a TD player, the graphics are nice and the gameplay is very smooth :)
Id really love to play games really polish in Unity so i can see the level i can get someday :). Very cool, congratz.
Cool little game. I like the sanctum-esque idea and awesome dwarf theme, but it could use content, and the non-tower combat feels a bit lacking, both in terms of feel (hammer feels pretty small) and movement (feels slow) but it's pretty good.
I can't rate this game. :( When it starts, I don't see a character I can move (though I see everything else), and WASD does nothing. Playing in Firefox on Win7
Nice variation on the tower defense genre. I really liked how more of the map is eventually revealed as you progress (which fits into the jam theme). I do wish the hammer had some more uses other than whacking enemies (like being able to repair structures or make construction go faster) though.
That's strange, Ted Brown. What resolution are you playing in? Would you mind emailing me a screenshot? tj@poqagames.com.
On my game, try opening the "index.html" file in your web browser, make sure you extract the files first.
Hi there. Like the idea of tower defence with running around. Think balance needs a bit of work, be nice to have tower upgrades and healing somehow. Nice sounds. Good job!
Revealing the map gradually was very cool, and the whole experience was very finely balanced (until I died, but I suppose that had to happen at some point). Pretty fun!
There was a bug where the player's rigidbody2d's gravity was turned on, and in some browsers/computers, it caused the player to fall off the screen before the player's scripting kicked in and took over movement. Since that meets pretty much the exact requirements of allowed bug fixes (a true that should have been a false, and had nothing to do with gameplay) I've fixed it. If you were unable to play the game before, you should now be able to!
Really well done, fun and addicting! Not really original, but pretty effective !
This is truly well polished TD-game! I especially liked the level design. Great work, guys.
Really enjoyed this game. I played until I died, and then considered trying again for a longer time. Definitely a quality of a good game!
I'm impressed that you can make such a good game in such a short time!
@JJEvil The monsters focus is on the base. They know they have no chance if the try to battle the great Dwarven Red Panda! (Player doesn't have health. Enemies can only attack the base and the towers.)
Nice tower-defence game -- I really liked the screen being revealed as the waves went on. Very well done!
Not sure if it's just me but I couldn't see the tooltip for the 2nd tower type. Figured it out pretty quickly though!
Really nice take on the theme. I liked being able to kill the monsters like a tower. I found the G and C thing a bit confusing, instead of 1 and 2, I wish I could just push G and C. I Included it in part 11 of my Ludum Dare 31 compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/09kdLS-s81I

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
The barrel is saved!
Fun and beautiful game.
Good job!
May I ask some tower upgrade (and repair) and more ennemies?
