Nice entry. I'll have to come back to actually try and complete it.

Unfortunately I ran out of time to add any kind of victory message, so the game will just silently note when it's complete.

Fun game, I enjoy it. It would be nice if it had a restart button.

Nice game. I think it can be a good game for mobile devices. Too lazy to finish)

Holding space works as a hot key in firefox while in-game. It's difficult to move exactly one tile at a time for some reason. Feels counterintuitive.
Otherwise a good little puzzle game. Interesting twist on mechanics.

Very nice game, and challenging! Nice!

@caryoscelus, that's unfortunate. I think this counts as being unplayable, so I'll add additional key for rolling.

Very nice take on Sokoban, thumb's up!

Oh wow. I thought that it would be super easy and then I screwed myself over by blocking myself from ever getting enough snow through a narrow entrance. There's definitely a deeper puzzle aspect here than first meets the eye!

Fun music and nice little puzzle game you've got here :)

@andrewkennedy, I tried to plan for snowmen to reduce player's maneuverability over time. :)
The puzzle is quite loose though, it should be possible to add at least a couple more snowmen to the solution.

Very well done game! Nice graphics and adorable music! Getting all the snowman built was actually really challenging. I kept getting snowballs stuck in corners haha! Good job!

It is a nice entry. I liked building snow men. It is a really unique take on sokoban. I only did not like, that it was not clear how to roll up snow from a field on a border. Also I would like to have a reset button, I got myself stuck a few times.

That was fun! =) Could use a little more instructions re how the current tile is used as a snowball when moving, etc. Took me a sec to get the hang of it and i kept having to refresh to start over.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I tried to address some mentioned issues in the new build, hopefully it's now a bit easier to get into.

Interesting concept, I like how it's making snowmen. Keep up the good work

Dec 21, 2014 @ 6:32am

This is deceptively difficult. I tried several times to get to the end of this, but I couldn't, not because it was a bad game (not in the least!), but that it was truly, undeniably -difficult-. No fake difficulty either, actual difficulty! This is a good thing! :D It means your game is really good at being a game, as it requires skill and articulation to get a reward.

The art was really cute, the music was really cute -- the gameplay was, too! If there weren't so many difficult barriers rolling up snowmen I might actually find it relaxing, but I apparently don't do very well with these sorts of mechanics so I got frustrated with my constant failure to build nice snowmens. :)

Fantastic basis to build a larger game off of, though. You could do so much with it -- more levels, hardcore mode, power ups, a precious, precious "undo" button for those of us who are not "snowman-tically inclined". Simple. Good. Challenging. Great work! :)

Cute .) Cool idea, nice to see some snowmen that are not out to get you or eat your brain. Or either. The puzzle itself isn't as simple as it may seem at first...

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
