Drive your vehicle on a remote alien planet.
Remotely.
WASD to drive, escape to return to the main menu. The main danger is flipping your vehicle; if you do flip, you'll have to start over.
I would've entered the compo, but I couldn't figure out how to replace the vehicle mesh without breaking the game :(
Someone had an issue where the game would crash; if you're encountering a problem and are on a 64-bit computer, you can try using a 64-bit version of the game, at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B91hbwT8cr00dEc5QjVabFZqS0U/view?usp=sharing
Also, if anyone has tips regarding making a UE4 game smaller, please let me know - 850 MB is a little extreme for such a small game.

excepting the fact that the game has 2GB (800MB archive) ...
it crashes on windows 7 x64 when i press "play" button :(
i never saw any Unreal games so far.
are there special requirements ?
Shouldn't be any special requirements. The size is a bit of an issue, I'm not exactly sure how to cut it down. When I get home I'll try uploading the 64-bit version, maybe that'll work for you?
I liked it. It's a big game. I've played other big unreal entries though and they are all pretty big.
For small games and web-version better use Unity. Movement mechanics from racing car not suitable for uneven surfaces. I don't know what makes game so huge, but can suggest that you import to the game too many assets or your terrain have extreme resolution.
I love how bouncy and atmospheric it is. The rover reminds me a lot of Mass Effect 1.
Hey did you start from a template? If so you need to un-link the example map to remove any starter content not in use. The starter content take ~500 MB
Yeah, I didn't include starter content for exactly that reason, and I deleted the example map as well. It's probably just the size of the landscape, unfortunately - I'll be sure to decrease that if I use UE4 to make another LD game.
On the top bar of Google Drive, you should be able to download the zip archive. Extract it, and run WindowsNoEditor/Rover.exe.

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
Graphics and gameplay are good! Thanks for game)
