Let's be friends! (But some will die)

by RFMTeam - Jam Entry

Help the little aliens connect their worlds!

Be very careful with the asteroids, they can topple your tower!
but you can destroy them by throwing an alien at them. Yes, being an alien is hard.

Really sweet and stylish graphics! I had a very tough time accomplishing anything due to terrible mouse lag that appeared after third guy spawned :/

Very nicely done! It's really hard but fun :)

Love the animations when they blow up hehehehe.

It was quite fun but also very annoying to play, I could never reach far enough as every time I got some length on the tower an asteroid came and destroyed. It's quite challenging even without the asteroids.

Good stuff!

I love the idea, sound and graphics (those little critters are awesome, they look and sound hilarious :D). I'm still trying to link both worlds, maintaining balance is quite challenging.

Great job! It's a pity that I can't vote this time :_S

Also the whale initially seems like it should act as another asteroid; maybe its color could also be changed to differentiate it.

It's too difficult to position the aliens in the center of the screen, where the gravity shifts. I managed to get pretty close by killing off the useless short aliens and keeping only the tall ones. When I quit the asteroids weren't a problem... but I couldn't prevent my aliens from spinning around and kicking the tower apart.

Also I notice that the aliens survive after destroying an asteroid if the mouse button remains depressed during the maneuver.

I'm not too sure what the goal of the game is but I can live with it :D Really funky game you guys made. Even if I couldn't figure out what to do I had a lot of fun just fooling around with the aliens. The animations and sound effect were a perfect fit :)

So far the most adorable entry I have played. I could not figure out how to stack the small buggers though but damn they are charming!

This game is nice a little play with cute visuals and sound effects, like the way you guys integrated the theme of connected worlds while still managing to keep the game fun and humorous.

hahahahahhahhaahhahahahahaaha omg the animation when you fling them to the other planet hahah. This is for reals cute, the art is great! I like how the actual game lines up with the webpage haha. It is hard to stack them, but nonetheless fun.

Very cute, but even once I managed to learn how to destroy asteroids (charge with one alien at high-speed; they stay alive after that) I couldn't make the tower, all these physics and the spinning are too wobbly. I don't even know what are their collision boxes. >.<

Wow interesting concept and take on the theme. I feel like if the guys were more "sticky" it would help. Otherwise, it feels like making a tower out of bowling balls. Some few tweaks to make it easier and this could be a really cool game. Good job.

One of the funniest entries I've played. Everything from the graphics to the language that the creatures speak was great, and made the game really fun. Well done!

Very hard but so cute! I loved all the animations and quirky characters. I felt so bad when one of the poor aliens exploded but it's too funny not to flick a few over there sometimes. I wish they did not twirl around so much when you hold them, but I suppose that just adds to the charm. Great job.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to place in the final results, you NEED votes. The easiest way to get votes is by rating other games. Judging lasts for 3 weeks following the end of Ludum Dare. For best effect, rate 20 games as soon as possible. Rating more games is encouraged.

TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.

NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.

MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
