Flappy Geek is a side-scrolling game featuring 2D retro style graphics. The objective is to direct a Geek, named "Geckoo" which moves continuously to the right, between each pitfalls - the chronophages monsters of the web. If the player touches the sprites, it ends the game. Geckoo jumps each time the player taps the screen. When the screen is not tapped, Geckoo falls due to gravity. Please! Help him save his precious time ++

Now it's impossible because I am too busy but soon I will do that for you bro'. See you later ++
What's up with the strobe lights? That really hurt my eyes. Might want to put up an epilepsy warning.
This needs to be submited to the Jam not Compo All images, models, textures, music, and sound must be created during the 48 hours. You cannot use any pre-existing art of any kind, whether you created it or found it online.
This game is kind of humor, and it has nice music. Though I found the random background flicking makes me dizzy. Compared to original flappy bird, your game is much easier, I think the gravity scale is too low. I prefer harder and tighter control.
Thanks for your game, keep making more good games!
Nice work! The graphics and sounds are good! The flashing in the background is a bit distracting and hard on the eyes though.
Pretty accurate simulation of a game dev's life. Found myself playing longer than I should have.
Not sure how the commenting works here, but to address your comment on my game: All the assets including models were made in the 48 hours, and my internet died so I couldn't post the source at that time.
The source is up now if you want to confirm the timestamps. It is not "Ugly".
for an additional bit of fun you could show "YOU STRUGGLED TO ESCAPE THE WRATH OF LUDUMDARE" or "WIKIPEDIA ONCE AGAIN PULLED YOU INTO ITS DEPTHS" whenever you lose
Friends you are alright. I have used many Logo company. In fact it's a mistake. I don't respected the rules. I didn't expect this problem. Sorry ++
Simple but efficient, i really like the "time saved" when you loose, it just lack of something specific when you die near a specific "time trap". It just lack of a Flappy Geek block inside the game! ;)
I have changed my entry because I have used many Logo company. In this case, now FlappyGeek is a Jam Entry. Source always available for those who want understand how it works. Thank you Folks for your kindness. Do you like my game? It's a pleasure for me. I love the LudumDare community ++
well this looks a bit familiar :3 i like the dying sounds though
Pretty much an easier version of flappy bird, the idea sounds funny, but it needs some work. Removing the seizuretastic background would be nice :p
the music was good though *thumbs up*
Struggle to see the point of making a flappy bird clone for a game jam. Cool idea on making the internet your connected worlds, but again, no creativity in how this is shown.
Hope you had fun doing this and will make many more!
creative630@ In fact, I have created this entry in 48 hours compo, but some participants said that it's not possible because I used many company logo which haven't been made by me. It's true. I didn't have a lot of time during this week end. Finally I didn't respect the rules. It's a mistake. Next time I promise do better. Sorry for this disappointment.
bentog@ lol ++

I am really sorry, but my host has decided today do something on his server - bad day. Sorry, but it's not my fault ++
Now game available on Kongregate. Sorry, but I have lost my host ++
Background changing colours and audio are quite annoying. Gameplay is exactly the same as the infamous flappy bird. I am sure you know you can do better than that. However, it is great you did that in 48 hours. Keep improving and look forward to the next ludum dare!
Music available on NoSoapRadio. The best retro music for games I have ever heard (track DasElectron)++

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to place in the final results, you NEED votes. The easiest way to get votes is by rating other games. Judging lasts for 3 weeks following the end of Ludum Dare. For best effect, rate 20 games as soon as possible. Rating more games is encouraged.
MORE TIPS AND DETAILS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
I am on Linux, and would love to play this game, but Unity Web Player is not yet for Linux :( So, can you distribute an executable for all platforms?
