*OBJECTIVE*
The objective (for both) is to get to the bench and avoid any obstacles that could prevent it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make the Title Screen with a text intro about Connected Worlds ("every person lives in his own world.. etc") and the final words ("The End <3"). Also, I hadn't time to make the music :'
This is my third attempt and it is the first time that I can submit on time...
It's simple, but I hope you enjoy :D

Made with:
Flash / AS3 (+TweenMax)
Photoshop

*FUTURE PLANS* (post compo version) - added on August 27th -
First of all, I want to work on what was on the original plan and I didn't have enough time to do:
- add Title Screen
- add Intro
- add The End: basically, a text that indicates the end of the game... a happy ending ^^
- add instructions: an arrow/something that indicates where to go.
- add music
- add more sounds
- add more sprites (car, dog, flowers...)
- improve collisions
- fix bugs
Besides, I'm considering to work on new ideas, some of them based on the feedbacks:
- make the bee bigger
- change some details on the final dialog to be more natural/friendly and less awkward :P
- add a Time Trial Versus Mode (with new characters)
Well, I think that's it... for now :D

Simple and nice :) At the end part, it kinda froze(?) it's like it turned awkward between them all of a sudden xD but otherwise good job! :)
Congratulations on finishing your game!
I like the mood, and graphics, but to be honest at first I was like "whaaa?" when I died from bee.
Keep up good work!
I really love the graphics style.
Apparently a bee can kill a man now.
Thanks for your comments!
Btw, the bee doesn't kill them hahaha... but if the bee stings them, they no longer would go to the bench hehe :P
the killer bees. This was tough but fun, nice work. Great graphics too!
I liked this game. It was fun to move both of them and the promise of them meeting at the bench made me keep trying when they died.
Nice idea.
That bird was out to get me but I made it in the end!
I love the art, and I think the squatting pose is my favorite sprite of the weekend!
Nice work! The game seemed to hang every few seconds though.
Nice game, it's only that the jump over the hole was a little bit hard, and after dying frequently I notice the bee. The final conversation reminds me of my social skills with new people. AWKWARD :P
Super cute entry - nice work! That bee though, man... that bee :/
nice game and art I wish if bee was bigger it is hard to see it.
Cute game! Like others have expressed, the manhole was a bit difficult, but not impossible to jump! I had to move each characters separately (my brain just doesn't function that way I guess!). I never tried going under the bird-poop or the falling orange... might need to try this game again soon...
This is my kind of game, where it's GAME OVER for getting pooped on by a bird! I guess you CAN just play with one at a time, but the real fun is in trying to manage both at the same time. It has a very particular sprite style that is super appealing to me. Very nice!
Thanks again for your comments. I'm going to make a post-mortem version with some fixes and new features, and I'll consider your feedbacks :D
I love how in the ending the conversation just randomly ends awkwardly.
Controls are intuitive, and I like the link with theme (read in description).
It was a great idea not reseting both character when we loose with one.
Also the pixelart are cured.
Good luck with the postcompo version, I'm looking forward to test it.
Nice work. I couldn't do both at the same time but managed when I switched between the two. Cute graphics and story made for an enjoyable experience.
I've managed to play them both at the same time!!
Really great entry, I love how simple yet fun it is. And I looove the awkward small talk at the end, totally connects with one's experience :D
funny game. nice graphics. i would have liked a little more dynamic in it. and its really similar to our entry! :)
Thanks (one more time) for your comments and feedback.
I really appreciate it :))
It's quite short and seriously, they are talking about the weather at the end? Uhm...
But I love your interpretation of the theme! Plus, nice graphics.
Pretty nice :) Not too much to it, but the idea was great. I wasn't entirely sure what was killing me at first, but it was just the little bee.
Good character art. It took me a while to figure out why I was failing at first, those birds are pretty stealthy. But I triumphed in the end. Nice little story!
Soooo difficult! The art is nice, I hope you can develop it further and improve the experience. Well done!
Really dig the screen separation and controlling two characters as once. I think there's a lot of depth to that mechanic left to utilized, and that's exciting. Enjoyed the ending as well. :)
Needs some getting used to the controls and i wish the jump was bigger on the players but other than that i liked the two worlds of the characters. Nice game, cheers!
Again, thanks for your comments!! :))
I'm working (slowly) on a post-compo version and I already added some things: title; intro; a bigger bee and a bigger bird's poop; new elements (cars, flowers, ...). And I have improved the collision and jumps, also fixed some bugs.
Hehe simple but really fun and poetic idea.
I like the graphics. It might be better with a more extended ending maybe. :).
A nice little game. Not really ambitious, but it was ok. Too bad that it ends abruptly, without knowing what will happen to them.
i won't lie, i spent a lot of time making them dance with the down button
Interesting game, and a cool concept. I like the zigzag split screen effect. :)
Also interesting that the speech only shows up in the speakers world. Is that on purpose? Anyway, cool idea overall. :)
Thanks everyone!! Your feedback is important to me :D

@racarate my girlfriend did the same hahaha
@fisholith yes, it was on purpose ^_^ thank you!

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to place in the final results, you NEED votes. The easiest way to get votes is by rating other games. Judging lasts for 3 weeks following the end of Ludum Dare. For best effect, rate 20 games as soon as possible. Rating more games is encouraged.
MORE TIPS AND DETAILS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
I will be paranoid about anything and everything above my head as I walk down the street tomorrow :) I liked the spritework and animations in this. Was curious what their conversation would be which spurred me on to finish. Congrats on getting a game complete for LD; third time's a charm!
