NOT THE ELEPHANT 1.0 by @Snapman_I_Am for Ludum Dare 29 (2014)
Michelangelo was once asked how he would sculpt an elephant.
He replied "I would take a large piece of stone and take away everything that was not the elephant."

for some reason the web version won't start for me, i tried clicking, hitting enter, mashing keys... im on windows in chrome
This is great! I really enjoyed it. The web version didn't work for me either, I'm on Windows with Chrome. The Windows version worked great though!
LOL I win an my elephant travels in space.
Nice concept with cool physics ++
I love that quote, it's never even occurred to me it could be the set up for a game, awesome idea!
The ending is also completely bananas, good job xD
One of my fave Ludum Dare games so far (and I've played over 50). Really enjoyed the game mechanics, and the unexpected dialogue. Great fun. Could have been a bit longer though, but that's LD for you :D
This is great. This is simply great. Amazing concept and hilarious when you screw up.
Very nice entry! Enjoyed it a lot, awesome concept, super original.
Great game!
AHhaha amazing :P The ending is so funny haha great work !
This is a very fun little thing! It could have used a bit more challenge, though.
Wow, amazing take on the entry. Love the Smash hit-like destruction (if just making a sculpture were like dropping balls!) and the game progression. Clever stuff. Cheers and congrats on this!
I think this might be my favorite I've tried so far. Very satisfying and "your mom said she thought you did a good job" made me laugh out loud. Good ramp up of challenge and the game feels complete.
That's a really fun game you have there. Pretty polished too. I hope there will be more levels in the future, as it is really addicting to destroy stuff.:)
I am also very fond of the gui style.
From one unity 3d brother to another from another mother, I rated this.
Oh, by the way. My uncle Charlie is an amazing whistler. You whistle better than him.
Very deep and innovating use of theme. Enjoyed every moment of it.
It's fantastic. The idea, the execution and I also liked the whistling sound. Does anything happen after the "lift off"? I wasn't sure if I should wait or not. Great entry!
Very fun to play but maybe a bit easy. I like it when you make the elephant wothout head as if you could decide and the unexpected end!
A bit too easy, but this was great!
I was a bit disappointed by the ending.
This is easily the most realistic elephant sculpting simulators around. This game made me laugh. Fantastic work!
Super nice entry! Love the idea and execution. Not much to complain about really, this is easily one of my favorite entries.
This is really cool. Such a great idea and very cool implementation. The sound effect are fitting very good. Also challenging, but doable with some patience.
Unique interpretation of the theme. Sort of bizarre (to say the least)
Hahahahahah the ending
Awesome game!! I feel like I could play it forever
make it bigger!
Erm.... What? '-' What happened by the end? @_@
This was awesome! =D
It's really fun. :)
great job on a funny take on the theme! it was challenging and fun at the same time and i loved the snarky attitude
Very nice and humorous game! I would like to see more levels. Also liked the interpretation of the theme.
This is so good, it makes me jealous!
Funny, good looking, sounds good and best take on the theme I've seen (and I don't think I'll see a better take).
Maybe I'll take a peek at your code too.
Got here from your post-mortem, I loved how quickly you got this brilliant idea :D Best use of the theme I've seen in this jam.
Also, a fantastic ending.
The menu music was awesome!
Awesome! Super original, great use of the theme, idea, fun, brough a smile to my face. So good! :D
Very original game :) I like the menu music, and the elephant sculptures :D Dat ending doe! xP

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to place in the final results, you NEED votes. The easiest way to get votes is by rating other games. Judging lasts for 3 weeks following the end of Ludum Dare. For best effect, rate 20 games as soon as possible. Rating more games is encouraged.
MORE TIPS AND DETAILS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
I love this.
