Also known as Finding Rogue Nemo Legacy: The Spore Saga with Candy...! Please note that the intro sequence is meant to stop abruptly, just imagine they were eaten...
Also, there is a secondary link that will skip the intro, and as such not download the files for it...
My game is based on the Rogue Legacy concept of your descendants picking up where you left off, Spores early stages where what you eat influences what traits your descendants get, and Finding Nemo, because you are a clownfish... The game as it stands is a bit of a Saga, because balance is hard... And I threw Candy in there to round out my getting sued chances...
NOTE: If you choose a Sluggish fish, it will be really slow.
This is written in Javascript, using Phaser. Keyboard is required for controls, which are on the screen when you open the page.
Sadly I did not get to finish everything, so there is no victory condition. There is a Defeat condition though, and there is also a way to just break the game and become the loneliest fish in the ocean...
I wanted to add more enemies (sharks, octopus, stingray, anenomonomeoneomanies), but time...
I wanted to add a Great White Shark, a Military Submarine, and a Kracken as bosses, but time...
I wanted to have the surface that you are beneath, complete with boats to eat, but time...
And sharks with lasers on their heads, which you could eat and breed lasers into your children...

Awesome intro :). Simple gameplay, but I like the breadth of options. Nice job!
I was lawling at the intro, very well done with the voice acting. The gameplay was alright as well, it's fun dodging enemies and grabbing points and such. It would have been nice starting out with tentacles or someway to fight enemies.
Really liked it, a bit more instructions would be nice. Maybe a bit clearer on when you have succesfully bred and what traits that passed on. Also some indication on what traits you are currently "running" while in the actual game. Overall though really well done.
Great intro, it kind of set the bar for the rest of the game. Not sure if it quite lived up to it, but it's good for a two day job.
Nice intro but then the fish moved SO SLOW! I pressed my keys so hard trying to get it to move faster. GAAAH!
Good game otherwise! :)
I can't get it running on Chrome, but it works on Firefox. Pretty nice graphics.
The intro was great.
The fish moved a bit too slow. It didnt really understand the mate thing in the caves. Where is my offspring?
@DanEEStar
Your offspring is in the character select screen waiting for you to die so you can pick a descendant. If you die with no offspring, then game over.
The intro is the best!!. :D The fish is a bit slow but the concept is good.
I love the intro and the breeding mechanics! :)
There's not that much content, though...
I would really like to see this one fleshed out a bit more post-compo :D
The intro was awesome. (Though could use a warning, caught me by surprise with the child over hearing it)
Lots of options for a ludum dare entry, nice full game.
HILARIOUS if not particularly original. It's not obvious that you give birth when you go into a cave, but otherwise this game's pretty great.
The intro was great. I found the movement a little slow, but it was fun to play.
Cool intro, I see you put a lot of work into that game, really nice gameplay.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to place in the final results, you NEED votes. The easiest way to get votes is by rating other games. Judging lasts for 3 weeks following the end of Ludum Dare. For best effect, rate 20 games as soon as possible. Rating more games is encouraged.
MORE TIPS AND DETAILS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
TEAMS: Teams entering the Jam should pick a single representative to submit your game, or create a team specific account you can share. We currently do not support Team Voting, but sharing an account and together playing and rating games is acceptable.
NOT LOGGED IN?: If you get a message about not being logged in, even though you are, it’s because your web browser cached the non-logged in page. You can fix this by either refreshing your cache or clearing your cache. CTRL+F5 in many browsers. Chrome is a bit more work. Press F12 to enable Developer Mode, then you can right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”. This option is unavailable if you are not in Developer Mode.
PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. For best results, provide a Web version of your game, or a Windows version with no dependencies. Also be sure to rate about 20 games to improve your visibility.
MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs (http://mysite.com/mygame.zip) and you will show up.
MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
"Web NO INTRO" - why would anyone ever want to click this? The intro is probably the funniest thing i've seen here so far, i love it!
